    Got a question on brakes

This guy had a similar problem and found the issue to be with the parking brake. Might be worth a read. EDIT: Re read your post and realized you said FRONT brake. Whoops.

Ram 1500 Hemi Cold Start Issue

Oh, that makes more sense! Quick update, I went to good old advance and replaced the IAT sensor, and it has improved cold start idling. The surging is way less pronounced than before, but it still isn't totally fixed. Not to mention that was only one instance. I'll let it sit overnight and give...

Ram 1500 Hemi Cold Start Issue

Corroded plug feels unlikely just because it did the surging prior to the full 16 spark plug change I did last winter (one of the first things I did to address this problem). The engine usually high idles around ~1400 and then slowly backs itself down to maybe 600RPM or so as it warms up.

Ram 1500 Hemi Cold Start Issue

Nope, no power wire. Those things seem like a bad idea. I suppose an IAT sensor could be at fault though.

Ram 1500 Hemi Cold Start Issue

Alright, this is a follow up thread to an issue I had last winter where my 08 QCSB hemi would surge and lope when started in cold weather. The problem fixed itself because, well, winter ended. Unfortunately for me, winter is back along with my problem. This time though, I at least got video of...

    Mileage on your 3rd Gen.?

Nah, I replaced the battery last winter. The plugs are new as well, and it doesn't throw any codes. I can rule out bad gas because it ran like a top for a half tank and then one particularly cold morning it started rough. The really crazy thing is that if you start the truck, shut it off and...

    Mileage on your 3rd Gen.?

I've got an 08 4x4 hemi QCSB that just rolled into the 45,000 mile range. She's been flawless although I have a recurring problem where the truck doesn't like to start when it gets cold (lets say, lower than 20 degrees F).

    How much to lift

You're definitely going to have to lift to stuff 35's under there. A 3" level is probably towards the lower end of what will clear those tires, and it will depend on your rim backspacing & tire width as well. In general, going wider than that (without crazy backspacing/offset) is where most guys...

    Hard Water Stains

O.R.T., Ammo definitely makes good videos and usually Larry is specific about what products he uses but that isn't the case for his severe water stain/calcium deposit video. Anyway, I finally had some time to take the DA out with orange Lake Country cutting pads and Meguiar's m105 cutting...

    Upgrading To Tow Style Mirrors

One hour if you're more focused on the beer you're drinking than the install! They're insanely easy to put on, it took me all of 30 minutes and was the first change I made to my 3rd gen after I bought it. Mirror is held on by 3 nuts and a quick release harness for power/heat if you have those...

    5" RCX lift issues...NEED INPUT!!!!

Does your lift incorporate a differential drop? I've seen numerous RCX lifts on various brands of trucks and the front inner CV angles always look horrible.

    Hard Water Stains

Gotcha, I'm going to try some Meguiar's M105 Mirror Glaze Ultra Cut and see what that does for me. Hopefully I won't have to chase it with a polishing compound! I'm waiting on new orange cutting pads but this weekend I'll see what I can do with the old DA.

    Hard Water Stains

I guess stepping up to machine based cleaning is what I'm going to have to do. Any particular cutting polish by Shine Supply/others that you think would work well? I've got a whole slew of cutting pads so no issues there.

    Hard Water Stains

Alright, so this is probably the most annoying problem I've had in the past year of owning my 3rd gen QCSB. Evidently, whoever had the truck before me was not concerned about sprinklers because the ENTIRE truck was covered in hard water stains. The dealer did a half decent job removing the spots...
