I bought my 2007 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi 4x4 used a couple months back. The truck has 124000 miles on it.I had no idea about the service history so I decided to change the plugs. First off, those rear most spark plugs provided me with opportunity to make up new and colorful words. Any way, the plugs...
I bought my 2007 Ram from a small local dealership. They did an oil change before I picked up the truck. I have driven the truck right at 4000 miles and went ahead and did my first oil change. I know the 5.7L Hemi holds 7 qts of oil, just like the 6.1. When I drained the oil, nothing even close...
2007 Ram 1500 5.7L - What size is the throttle body on these motors? I am thinking about going to an 85mm throttle body for improved throttle response. Anyone tried this upgrade yet? If so, what are your comments?
Not really looking for HP, but gaining any is always a bonus. I am looking for a more complete burn of the fuel/air mix. That's also why I was thinking about replacing the stock coils with MSD units. I have used them in the past on muscle car projects but never on one of these motors.
E3 Plugs
Anyone ever figure out how to gap the E3 plugs??? The tip is actually contained within the lattice of the framework and no feeler gage or gapping tool I have ever owned will fit. I'm to the point of just hoping that they come gapped at .040ish

Perfect, thanks. I have no way of knowing when or if he fluid has ever been changed in the transfer case, so I will change it and start my own baseline for future services on my truck.
2007 Ram 1500 4x4
How do you drain and change the fluid in the transfer case?
What type of fluid is required?
How much will be required?
Are there any filters or gaskets required?
A new development yesterday. It appears that when the passenger side door is shut it causes the blower fan to work again. Since the ignition switch has some slop in it and I actually ordered a replacement blower motor from Rock Auto I'll just install them and then have peace of mind knowing that...
Changing from the stock incandescent bulbs to LED's is a fairly easy and quick swap. I've done it now 3 times. Why you may ask have I done it 3 times? Well, I'll tell ya... After popping out the lenses it pulling free the burning hot bulbs, which managed to allow me to invent new and colorful...
2007 Ram 1500. The fan motor has been intermittently working and not working. I replaced the blower motor resistor already because it looked corroded / old. This did nothing as the blower motor now does not kick on at all. I have heard rumors that a worn ignition switch can of intermittent...
