idle jumping around
Grrr, my beloved trucks idle when in park only will move from about 700 rpm to about 1k rpm. Sitting while in drive it will hold at 800 rpm. Any ideas what could wrong with this old girl? She is a 02 4.7.- tservice

I want HID

guys I need your insight please.
thanks once again guys. My dad said the oil loss could be coming from the plastic intake, internally. He said I would need to check the vacuum to test it. Is that possible with these trucks?- tservice

I removed the tb, and cleaned it (it was nasty). Cleaned the iac. It seems to idling properly now. I checked my oil while I was there. ummm there was none. :( I just changed the oil 3k miles ago. it was only a qrt low then. I have no leaks so I guess maybe it is burning it. As far as I know the tb has never been cleaned. The old girl has 259k miles. I will clean it, and check the tp and iac. Is there a write up on properly cleaning the tp? I found one for a hemi, but not for a 4.7 Thanks for all your help. I will let you know if it solves the problem.- tservice

guys I need your insight please.
My 02 4.7 is acting up on me. When cold I have to babysit it to keep it running. Once it is warmed up, it will keep running. There is no codes at all. I changed the plugs within the last 5k miles. I found it... It was not laid out like I thought it would be. Pins 1 and 4 are for the pump. I ave 12 vdc there. I can not afford a new pump fot 160.00 here. Rock auto has a oem rebuild kit for 46.79. I will be buying it from them. Thanks for your help.:) -
