Amazon has a 4pk of these for like $13... search flush mount led amber

Yup, there are lots of really cheap ones out there. Just so long as you don't mind having to replace them every few months. :)

Yes, there are cheap lights out there. Maxxima is a hi end light with a REAL warranty. they are based in Hauppauge, NY , you can call them! I have been selling and installing all brands of LED lights for over a decade, and Maxxima is a "buy it once" light. Many others will fail, especially when mounted down on a Air Dam in all the rain and salt.

I Installed Lights on my 2001 Dodge Ram in 2008 (it has 200,000 miles on it) and today, I still have it, with over 500,000 miles on it) and up until 3 months ago, every light on it still worked (we wrecked it last month, so it is getting a new air dam, bumper, etc)

We also install them on Semi Trucks, RV's and Cargo Trailers! (the picture below was taken in 2009)

I have never seen lights like this on a Ram here in Arkansas, it does look cool all lit up. Is there a legal reason for these up north?

I too am from Arkansas, as is that Red Ram above. I had just moved to illinois when those pictures were taken. I can tell you there are a fewtrucks and treailers with these lights, and they are not "required" but they are cool!

We just did a Chevy for a guy in Arkansas, and wired the ground leads up to the Turn Signal. and split the lights up, half and half. The lights BLIVK with the turn signals now (they stay on all the time, but each side blinks whenever you turn the turn signal on!)

I put them across the BACK (and front) of my 2005 Ram 4WD. I mounted them in a small thin aluminum angle (got from the farm supply store) and plug them into my trailer connector. They too work with the brake lights. That was in 2010, they are still working perfect today, after half dozen salty Illinois winters.!

And this is the front of the Same 2005 Ram 2500. Over 6 years in Salt and mud, and not one light failed!

Nope, they just look cool! :) And since my truck is black on black with black accents, it makes me feel better about it's visibility at night. Next on my list is a set of Recon Big Rig lights on the sides. Santa (wife) brought me a set for Christmas, I just need weather above freezing to install them!

Hey there Kad- is the f79 fuse hot when the park lights are turned on or did you run to a switch to activate the dam lights?
thanks

The F79 is hot only when the parking lights are on, so no separate switch is needed. It's normally used to power the cab lights on the 2500 and up trucks.

I decided to do this too. The lights I got are (were) white, so I decided to tint them first. They also have two different brightness levels, but it's hard to tell in the pictures.

The possibilities could be endless if you mounted them in any length of metal or plastic. Hell, at those prices you can DIY some sets of turn signal lights mounted in the grill, near your fogs, as seen in the tailgate in a previous post.

They would be a great safety feature in this regard. Very cool.
