My turn - UConnect 8.4 firmware msg - go for it?

So I'm getting the msg to update my system firmware, keep hitting Later. 2017 BigHorn QC.

Should I go for the Over the Air upgrade, or is the USB method more reliable?

Or skip it altogether (and hit Later until end of Creation) ?

I think after so long it will automatically make you do the update so you might as well just do it and be done with it. I did mine via USB and didn't have any problems... I think they got most of the bugs worked out of it by now.

I did the OTA update. No issues with mine after install.

I went online and it said I had an update but I just closed it, is there a place to download?....just plug USB into console?
Sorry if these are dumb questions, I bought this last June and this is my first update, haven’t been back to the dealer since purchase lol

I just followed this guys tutorial. There should be a "get started" somewhere after you check to see if your truck has an update. I did what the guy did in the video and downloaded it to my laptop then unzipped the file onto the usb. This guys video shows 2 files after it's unzipped but mine only had one and it worked fine. Not sure what was updated but mine seemed to be exactly how it was before the update

I just let mine run in the driveway, while I was messing around in the garage. Took about 15min

Doing mine rfn

Edit.....worked fine took 25min, never did shut truck off like in video. I followed the online pdf instructions at the end since that matched my steps.
