Hey Everyone, I've got a 2014 Big Horn, 4x4, 5.7L quad cab w/ the 6.5' box. The truck has some aftermarket wheels and tires (275/60/20) on it that I had kicking around, but I want to go with something more aggressive, especially since I've added fender flares and the 2.25" Rancho QuikLift in the front. The current wheel setup, especially the offset, just doesn't work anymore.

What rim specs (size, offset) and tire size would you recommend? For what it's worth, I think I am going to go with a black or black & polished rim this time around.

Here's a shot of the current state (roof rack is gone, needed it temporarily):

A zero offset or a -12 would get the wheels out a little further but not too much (stock is +19), -24 gives it a fairly aggressive stance. A zero offset would move the wheels out 3/4" from where you are now, and a -12 would be roughly 1 1/4". Either a 20x9 or 20x10 depends on whether you want a more vertical sidewall (20x10), or a little more bulgey sidewall (20x9) and that would be running a 33x12.5x20 or a 305/55/20 (33.2x12x20). If you go to customoffsets.com they have a gallery where you can see thousands of wheel and tire setups to get a better idea of what you like.

How do you like your Quicklifts? I just ordered a set and will hopefully install them next weekend. Do you have a side shot of your truck?

Hey, very pleased with the Quick Lifts; the truck rides as good or better than it did on the stock struts. I also did the Rancho 9000XL shocks in the rear at the same time.

Here's the best side shot I had handy...note that the ground here isn't level and it looks like the front end is sitting in a bit of a rut:

Wish I read this or paid attention to offset before I bought wheels. I bought some used and didn't even think of it. They are -24. So I went to get tires and they were like max you can get 33's or you will rub. Went to dealer after tire store to confirm and they agreed. They said sometimes they even have to trim with -12. Was planning 35s. I have bils at 2.8 and a rear spacer.

So now just trying to sell the wheels I just bought haha.

There are several examples at customoffsets gallery link that are running 35/12.5/20's with no trimming and slight rubbing at full lock. Will they mount a tire so you can try it and see for sure??

I hadn't thought of that. I honestly never even considered it being an issue until yesterday. I went to the first tire store and he asked me the offset. He was like no way you want 35's, you are going to want 33's. He told me he owns a ram. So then I went to the dealer and they pretty much agreed with him. My closest dealer has a customs shop and does a lot of lifted rams so I figured they would know.

But might be worth trying. I have a few offers on my wheels but they are at a price I'd be losing money since I had to drive 3 hours to get them and bought some replacement decorative rivets for them.

That site is awesome. Looking at that site looks like I'll have slight rub at full turn with 35s. If I put a 1.5 body lift (which was the plan) then I should be fine I'd assume. 33's will fit fine no rub as is now. I actually like the -24 look with flares. I don't have flares currently. The offsets beyond -24 are too much IMO. I prefer the look of those with 35's. Maybe I'll body lift it first then get tires. Although I'll have to do it pretty close together or I'll look ridiculous with a stock 31's and a 2.8 level and body lift.

I think ideally I'd be -12, 35, with Bilstein and 1.5 body lift. Maybe I'll order the body lift and see if the rims sell.

with the bilstiens at 2.8 just like stated before - you might get slight rubbing at full lock Atdding the 1.5 body lift you would definitely fit the 35's.
