Yes, I see small hairline cracks on both sides though the rear passenger side is easier to see. Zoom in and you should see the crack. @mikeru

They are replacing the tail light no charge so that is good. But they said the cracked window/frame is not covered so we didn't move forward on that just yet. @RamCares the crack around the frame should be covered per the TSB but my dealer wants to charge me for this. Please assist. It's not me you need to convince. As long as the dealership can verify it's leaking it should be a covered repair. Be sure to work with @RamCares on this. They helped us out when we had this issue on our 2020 Limited.
While I definitely sympathize with you on this, I don't understand why you're blaming @RamCares for any of it. They're here to help facilitate between you and your dealership. They don't make the decisions on what is and isn't covered. And they don't dictate whether or not you get a loaner or rental vehicle. That's up to the individual dealership to provide (or not). The decision on what is covered for each instance ultimately falls on Stellantis.I've been dealing with this and took to the threads to find I'm not alone. They are covering the rear glass but I have an open claim from the resulting damage. The rear carpets and seats have mold and they're only willing to replace visibly damaged items, like the covers on the rear seats. The truck being filled with mold spores is my concern...Replacing the covers is great, but what about the foam?! Or any other porous material in the cab?? This whole thing has gone on for weeks and I'm left with a truck I can't drive and denial on a loaner or rental. @RamCares needs to do better.
I can sympathize with you on this. It's a known problem and poor design decision to mount electronics anywhere on the back wall. But in your case at least I can understand why it isn't covered. Your factory warranty has expired and the build date for your truck was after Sept. 30 2020. Where my confusion comes in is with the trucks which were built before Sept. 30 2020, have the power sliding rear window, yet apparently aren't included in the warranty extension. Something in their system is broken.I just dropped my truck off at a dealer after getting stranded due to this issue making its way to the RF modulator. The truck falls outside of the build dates, but the water leaking in through the window is clearly a result. I am being told it will likely not be covered.
I am having the same issue now with my 2021 Ram Rebel, dealer states the window leak, and fried the radio frequency hub. how can i check to see if my truck is covered under this issue, as it is out of factory warranty.I figured I'd just make a new thread rather than try to update existing threads on this. For 2019, 2020, and some 2021 1500's (DT) Stellantis is extending the warranty on the 3rd brake light and rear windows that suffer from water intrusion. Here are the TSB's...
I think Ram selected a limited number of VINS for the Backlite extended warranty to keep the Gov off they're back and force wider coverage from all the complaints. I made numerous calls to Ram and no one can tell me why my 2019 isn't covered. Not one person at Ram can tell why my 2019 isn't covered, just my VIN isn't in the system. They even admit I meet the criteria of the extended warranty.I can sympathize with you on this. It's a known problem and poor design decision to mount electronics anywhere on the back wall. YES, allegedly, got letter from FCA *** amount of months ago. But I also have Maxcare Warranty under FCA. My E Fan was diagnosed bad Feb 2022 and ordered. As of Feb 2023, still no fan. I was at local in town dealership for problem and they checked truck and issues and truck running hot and they also agreed bad E FAN. They attempted to get Fan covered under Maxcare, and Maxcare "DENIED" the work. So local dealership tells me, U wanna new fan, fork over $1,100.00. WELL that not gonna happen. Called my dealership where I bought truck, my SA checked, no fan ordered and/or backorder and/or supply issues. SO SPO (special part order) put in again. Months and Months no fan.Was your VIN covered under the extended backlite (back window) warranty? Before anyone got involved?
go TO Mopar Owners Site. If U have never made account, make account. On site, look at Warranty details and extensions, and if your truck is "allegedly" covered, it should be listed there. ALSO, if U have a decent dealership and good Service Dept and your SA OK, get with them and it only takes them a few secs tom look up on computer. But to give U a lil ammo, U can look on Mopar Owners Site, under recalls tab, see warranty extensions, and any applicable to your vehicle will be listed there. But wateva U do, do not go into dealership firing cannons, if U know what I mean.I am having the same issue now with my 2021 Ram Rebel, dealer states the window leak, and fried the radio frequency hub. how can i check to see if my truck is covered under this issue, as it is out of factory warranty.

Then U gonna have to fight for it. Read TSB, see if how U understand it the vehicle should be covered, than U now have a fight, just saying.Made my account day 1. It even has my Max Care warranty listed. No Backlite warranty for my 2019 listed.
I have called Ram 3 times, I get no where. They say my VIN is not listed and there is nothing they can do. They agree I meet the criteria, I ask them to elevate to the the next person. Then nothing happens, all I ask them is, explain to why my VIN isn't listed when I meet the criteria. They can't, I say, what if it's a mistake, how do I get it resolved, still nothing. I'll call back today and keep trying. Then U gonna have to fight for it. Read TSB, see if how U understand it the vehicle should be covered, than U now have a fight, just saying.
Wish u luck just not know wat u may get. FCA good at denying wat some ppl think is a good claim. All dem insurance companies and such do it.I have called Ram 3 times, I get no where.
