Hemi 5.7 post 'hemi tick' operation.

All back together, battery has been out for ~90 days.

Symptom is crank no start - well if you get on the gas, catch it just right, and feather the accelerator just right it will run, if you let off the gas, it won't idle and off it goes.

Tried new throttle assembly, have the fuel pump relay, jumping 12v to M19 did not resolve the issue.

Thoughts on what to try next? Even had a programmer come out and update the pcm.

Thanks in advance!

I had a similar issue, my timing chain was off. I also found a failed fuel injector.

appreciate the info, it's certainly frustrating - had her towed to the dealer...got tired of playing the guessing game.

Update on what we found - ignition on, accelerator shows voltage when operated, but not throttle. Manually move throttle, shows voltage. Chilton manual event states - '5.7L models, take to dealer' in regards to resetting the throttle.

We had done the timing to the book, keyway at 2, cam & phaser at 12, crank gear dot at 6, #1 TDC. Granted we had the oil pump still on, so that 6 was a bit tough to see.

will update when we find it.

Update from the dealer - both...
Accelerator-Throttle reprogrammed - thenfound multiple misfire codes being reporting on the engine.
compression/leak-down test should hopefully show we put it back together correctly, reset the timing and hopefully she's back on the road.

That was it, costly mistake, guess we didn't check that close enough - glad we have it back.
