Here are some pics of current condition. It's actually not to bad and functional. Just bothersome when you buy a brand new car. It's that and the warped ram box covers from what I hear is a common problem.
Also, with them slightly bent could they wear out the motors?
So I called whipple and the person said they installed the 3.0 on there truck when they used in testing and he's gone 35k miles on it with a 2020 ram 1500 and everything is still running smooth. He claims as long as regular maintenance is done truck should last just as long... not sure how much...
I'm leaning towards a whipple and maybe a sdpc mds delete stage 1 kit. I only drive about 25 miles per day. I just want some power when I hit the gas lol... also do a little showing off on the weekends honestly... if it breaks I'll take the train I'm in the city...
One thing that does scare me...
So stage 2 and a whipple should be fine? I use this for my everyday...
Where would a stage 2 and a whipple bring me? Considering I would put shorties when I install stage 2
Hey Guys
Was looking to get some real hp increase under the hood but don't want to destroy my transmission.
Whats a safer bet. Stage 1 full cam kit install or a whipple supercharger
UPDATE:
SO something fishy is going on here. I had the truck for 3 weeks. I have put 473 miles on it.
This morning I went to look at the engine hours. I saw the idle hours are at 844! And I have been intentionally not idling. At most I Idled 30 min tops! For engine warm up.
Also it added 54...
Hello Fellow Ram owners
My ram power running boards have bowed upwards like an upside down smile. Do I just buy a new board or is it hinge alignment? Can it be straightened?
I can post pics if needed
Yea it was a certified truck with 7 year powertrain warranty.. so I kind of got over it.. lol. Just a kick in the pants initially... Def a learning experience
I just bought this truck and I'm already regretting it due to the idle and engine hours on the truck I didn't realize it had.
So I find this trip on the dash options (pic attached)... from my math they where doing 77 mph on this trip... is my math wrong ?
My main issue with this is the truck...
That is good to hear. Much appreciate the feedback!
When Buying a new car, things like this end up passing you off.. the idle hours is really what sets me off... and not knowing if enough oil changes where done.
Engine does sound good with no knocking.
So I just bought a 2020 limited ram truck with 34,000 miles.
This is my first truck. Not knowing about engine hours I sign all the paperwork...
So a few days later I discovered how to see my engine hours... and this is what I saw
IDLE 839
RUN 1325
2,164 total engine hours!
Well I think I...
