    Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to go with diesel for piece of mind towing, and hopefully better mpg. I'm currently working with a dealer on a 2023 1 ton diesel. Wish me luck. I'd rather have all my teeth pulled out than working with dealers...

    That makes sense. I currently own a 2017 2500 hemi, and love it. Bought it new and never had any issues pulling our travel trailer..which weighed about 8000# loaded.     I'm looking at upgrading to a 3500 for the size 5'ver we're looking at. I really like the payload capacity of these beasts, as well as the tow capacity. Part of me wants to buy diesel, but I've heard of the def system possibly having issues down the road. I plan on buying new, to get a warranty...

    I'm just thinking on the fuel cost. I would hate to see those diesel prices jump up to 5$ or more. You never know.

    What about a 3500 gas? Would that pull something around 12 - 13k lb? I know they have a larger payload capacity..something like 7k lb?

    I'm probably going to pull the trigger on another truck. I currently have a 2017 ram 2500 6.4 hemi. We are upgrading to a 5'ver, and this truck won't pull it. The 5'ver we are looking at weighs at around 14000 gross. Any thoughts on 2500 or 3500? Gas or diesel? I know alot of the newer gas ones...

    Unsure of tow capacity....

    Any thoughts on the Anderson hitch? I like the fact that it's a 1 man operation due to being so light, but it doesn't seem to be built very strong.

    Thanks so much for all the info. Really great info here. I bought this truck with the intention of buying a camper. Just didn't realize that once we started camping we would be hooked and would at some point want to upgrade to a 5'ver. Guess we'll have to pull the trigger on a 1 ton.

    Yes it is a crew cab 6 1/2 bed. Yes, if you want your patience tested, try stuffing 6 in a crew cab..
