If you buy Moog, make sure you get the "problem solver" line. Those are usually still made in USA and are a lot better quality than their cheaper stuff.
I changed lower and upper ball joints and tie rods with moog problem solver. Its been 7 years. Still no problems.
The sway bar links were...
handycruiser, its great to see you keeping up your truck! I have an 03 exactly like yours. Mines also been in the family since new.
This week I installed a dash cover since my dash unfortunately started cracking a few years ago. if I ever have to replace the heater core Id like to put in a...
I use a fan clutch holding tool and a 1/2" breaker bar with a 36mm crow foot wrench
You can make your own fan clutch holding tool or buy one
Theres videos on youtube
Where is the needle on the coolant temp gauge?
Does the temp warning light turn on?
EDIT: After re-reading your post it sounds like the gauge is getting to 3/4 of the way; In between middle and the red?
Check for engine codes if you have the equipment.
I have an 03 with the 4.7L.
Only major issue I've had is a misfire caused by a bad head gasket. Expensive fix at a mechanic.
The check engine light would turn on when the engine was cold or had been sitting for a while. Then it'd go away.
A...
I have a few thoughts:
1. Did you buy an OEM fan clutch? The only aftermarket clutches available are heavy duty and severe duty clutches which engage more often (at lower temperatures) and spin faster (more noise) than OEM. Nothing will be quieter than the OEM fan clutch
2. You were driving up...
Are you referring to the pages from the manual I attached? I'm not sure if the auto shutdown relay even applies to your 07 or any tipm vehicle. Procedure is just a standard resistance and continuity checks across terminals with a meter like any other relay.
The 2006 manual states the ASD relay...
Before you go buy a new fuel pump, it could be the relay.
Your fuel pump relay is integrated into your TIPM. It's not easily replaceable like a normal relay; its soldered in place. Horrible design.
It could indeed just be the relay. However it can only be replaced by either replacing the whole...
I've had moog ball joints and tie rod ends for about 5 years now. No problems with them. Great quality.
Make sure you get the greasable "problem solver" line. Moog makes cheaper options for some vehicles. The problem solver is their top of the line stuff
According to moparpartsgiant.com
68298346 replaced 55366438
There is no new part supersession for 55366439
EDIT: did you ask for a printout of the alignment results? I always try to ask for one. Sometimes I forget
Do you see any part numbers stamped? My only concern would be that they are both genuine OEM parts. I see a Chrysler logo on the lighter gray one.
Vehicle manufacturers often get parts from multiple manufacturers, or they change manufacturers. Dodge nor Chrysler are in the business of making...
Maybe fuel pump or fuel pump relay?
Do you hear the fuel pump whine when you turn the key? Turn the key just enough to light up the dash, not to crank/start, and listen for the pump
Yeah, I bought all the parts to add oil pressure, but havent gotten around to it yet...
Great gauge. I like it a lot. I just wish it could auto-dim with the headlights
