    I've read that Motorad is the/a supplier for Jet thermostats The Jet 180* tstat is #10177 Motorad 180* tstat is #420-180 compatible with 4.7L As far as I can tell they are the same product. Jet tstat is over $30 more. I'll be trying out the Motorad in my 4.7

    Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield?

    Do 02-07 Ram 4.7L have heat shields on the exhaust manifold? My 2003 doesn't. I found OEM shields for the 4.7 dakota and durango, but not the ram. Im wondering if I should bother adding heat shields? Thanks.

    I've searched the forums about how to drain the coolant. I have a dumb question... everyone mentions the "radiator cap". I only see a cap on the small tank up top. Wheres the radiator cap? Is that it? Thanks! P.S. Just became the proud owner of an 03 Ram 1500 4.7L.
