Thanks guys I returned the bad one today and will check the ground straps and see if this one holds up... If not then I would say there is a prob somewhere else
2003 dodge 2500 5.7 hemi.. 150,000 miles... Replaced #2 coilpack cause it was bad drive about 200 miles this mourning heard something arking poped hood same coil pack had a small pin hole in it and was sparking onto the bolt holding it down!! What would be causing the probs with this #2 coil pack??
Although after a quick 10 min drive today seems like soon as it warms up it may start to get a bit sluggish... The truck sat for a yr just now got it on the road trying work the bugs out
I don't think it's getting hot enough to melt inner fenders people are telling me 1,000f is normal temps for regular driving? Just seems like when u think 1000 degrees that's very hot seems as if everything around it would melt at them temps
No don't seem to be loss on power..but was just scared maybe catch fire..like u say even the frame is hot to touch by coil spring bucket.. But isn't throwing any codes
Need help ASAP.... 2003 hemi 5.7 no trouble codes an runs good but exhaust seems way to hot... After ten min drive manifold reads 800f cat reads 470f an tail pipe reads 190f all stock motor only mods is lift and 35s the passenger side manifold seems hottest... Even coil spring bucket gets hot to...
