I don't have a laser thermometer to measure temps for headers. But my cats run around 1k*F while idling. They cool when moving to around 700*F. So at 470*F it seems to me your running pretty cool.

My cat temps are measured with my Intune, and narrow band(OEM) O2 sensors. So I really don't know how accurate it is.

What is your engine running temp? If it's running at normal temp I wouldn't worry about anything.

Any noticeable loss in power? Would indicate a plugged cat.

If ECT is normal, as long as your cats aren't plugged, you're fine.

Loss of power, poor idle, no acceleration even under no load/ light load conditions.

Most exhaust shops can drill a small hole and insert a meter to check flow/pressure. Cheap test before you just start throwing parts at it. Just saying.

A lean condition will raise exhaust temps, but there should be a code showing excessive lean condition. The inner fenders are plastic and will melt with dangerously high temps. Don't ask...

I don't think it's getting hot enough to melt inner fenders people are telling me 1,000f is normal temps for regular driving? Just seems like when u think 1000 degrees that's very hot seems as if everything around it would melt at them temps

Although after a quick 10 min drive today seems like soon as it warms up it may start to get a bit sluggish... The truck sat for a yr just now got it on the road trying work the bugs out

Do you have good exhaust flow? Maybe a blocked exhaust???

My lips are sealed.... just take my word for it, that a high idle in a lean condition will get things glowing.....
