    Parking Light Out Error

Yep, talking to him as well and he's helping troubleshoot. Figured this would be another good source :).

    Parking Light Out Error

Update: Disconnecting the battery and re-connecting it makes the driver's side turn on, but only briefly and then it turns off again.

    Parking Light Out Error

Hey guys, I have a 2014 RAM 1500 5.7L Sport Crew Cab. Today when leaving dinner I got a "parking light out" error on my dash. I have FX-R retrofit HIDs, dual color switchbacks and halos from Jeremy @ RetroShop.us on my truck. I noticed the driver's side halo and switchback is not turning on. I...

Cracked Ceramic & Failing to Light

Hey guys, I purchased a Retro Shop kit this week. It was the one linked in the sticky on this board for my 2014 with factory projectors. When I was doing the install I noticed the ceramic insulation was cracked on one of the HID, probably during shipping since they didn't come in the plastic...

Paint Correction of My Daily Truck

I recently picked up a Ram 1500 Sport as a daily, showed some photos of it here before. It was covered in dealer installed swirls, from the dealer running it through their car wash. The paint seems super soft on these trucks, you can scratch it with your fingernail. I decided to remedy that and...

I think I found Bruce Banner's Day Job

Yea that's actually a pretty cool feature. I like the Mobil 1 because I can buy them in bulk cheap and I happen to have two vehicles at the moment that use the exact same model. They have an adapter thing for the Mobil1 filters at most auto stores around here, makes it super easy as well...

    Weird thing happend today...

Automatics can stall rolling back significantly in forward gear. I've had it happen a few times in various cars. I don't think anything is particularly wrong with your car, at least not based on this happening. It's just what happens when you put a load on the engine that it can't sustain...

    JBA long tubes

On other domestics 1 7/8 mains were more popular for people going bigger (i.e. blower, heads & cam, etc...) Some say the 1 7/8 is too big for basic boltons. The thought was that you may get less torque gain on the low RPMs as the power band may be pushed up the RPM range without bigger power...

I think I found Bruce Banner's Day Job

Yea they are the same size. I think what they mean is 3x filtering capacity, as in it can trap 3x more material. Which seems reasonable enough if their filters are truly higher quality than whatever they compared against. They're just champion labs filters, which are perfectly fine, Mobil1 are...

I think I found Bruce Banner's Day Job

Thanks fellas, was able to get the ****** off finally. It was indeed the factory installed one, said so on the bottom. I just wanted to swap out to synthetic now that I've driven it for a week. Tried the screw driver method, no go, I could see it start to rip the filter. It's just too flimsy...

Yea you know what, after I posted that I was thinking the same thing, you're probably right, i think this thing is pinching it.

I think I found Bruce Banner's Day Job

The drain plug was surprisingly tight, but came out without issue. I do agree it shouldn't be that freaking tight. I can give that a shot. It's not that my current wrench is slipping, it's just that the filter is breaking under the force :(.

I think I found Bruce Banner's Day Job

Tried to do an oil change on my new 2014 1500, after a bit of a break in. Drain plug was simple enough, but the damn oil filter will not budge. It's literally breaking under the force of the filter wrench. Srew driver in filter time or what guys? The incredible hulk should stick to breaking...

    Cold air intake

I imagine that won't be too big of an issue. Even if the snow is making it up to the base plate around the filter, as long as it's angled down when the snow melts it will just run off. While driving, a small sprinkle of water in the intake, from snow blowing in towards the filter isn't going to...

    Cold air intake

I do agree that the Vararam works as noted by the gains I got. I just can't live with the build quality.I guess the best way to describe it from my perspective is that the Vararam Air Grabber is a good idea, but just wasn't fleshed out properly. I think it should have some kind of bracket in the...

    New Ram Owner in Houston

Thank you :), appreciate the compliment! Audio wise, I know where those guys are coming from. I've had cars that I outfitted with really high end audio, like no expense spared, not so much for being loud, but just fidelity. I will admit the ability to go loud if you're in the right mood was...

    Cold air intake

So far it sounds like S&B is the best option besides stock from what I've been reading. I tried a Vararam myself today. I didn't like it. Took it off the car and will be (hopefully) returning it for a refund. I'm now considering S&B, how's the fit & finish? I've been very happy with Rotofab's...

    New Ram Owner in Houston

Hey Guys, Just registered and thought I'd share the new truck I picked up. It's a 2014 1500 Sport. Mostly for daily driving use. So far I'm very happy with it. I really love the upgraded Alpine branded stereo, it's actually very good for factory.
