    Tire pressure and ride

I've started looking at new trucks and have driven an F250 and a RAM 2500.I've always read that the Ford rides the roughest of the 3 brands, but the one I drove was definitely smoother than the RAM. I would say it was comparable to my 1500(200,00 miles and original shocks). Both trucks tires...

    Battery suggestions....

I bought a Walmart battery 4 years ago because that was the only place near me that had my battery in stock. I've gone 85,000 miles since then with no problems. It fired right up at -13 yesterday.

    Looking at a 2011 Ram ... Questions

Only problems with mine were the battery (105,000), manifold leak(115,000), and front wheel bearings(130,000)

    Head light Auto mode

That's how my 2011 is. I'm guessing your others had daytime running lamps.

    My Ram is getting old

Didn't have anything wrong with mine until last January at 102,000. That's when the battery took a crap. I would consider that a normal life expectancy for a battery. I think it was around 105,000 when the right exhaust manifold started leaking. I'm at 126,000 now and the left manifold started...

    2019 RAM 1500: more scoop...

From Allpar: There are twelve colors, including four new paints, and the first Ram use of Tri-coat paint: Billet Silver, Tri-coat White, Patriot Blue, and Diamond Black Crystal. Three two-tone color options carry through newly designed fender flares and the lower body.

    2019 RAM 1500: more scoop...

I agree with you. I wasn't sure with the leaked pics, but after spending today looking at all the picture I could find, I really like it. Except that chrome hood badge. Yuck. The interior looks absolutely amazing. It puts Ford and even the new Chevy to shame. I don't know if the new Silverado...

    2019 RAM 1500: more scoop...

There are three things I don't like about this truck. The first is what looks like a split in the grill bars between the A and M. I cannot stand anything that is not symmetrical and that would be a deal breaker for me. Next is the badge in the hood. FUGLY. The final thing is the fit between the...

Questions you should know the answers to but don't... Post here!

It's called the load floor. I think. So things I should know but don't.... why is my wife pissed at me.:33:

    Manifold bolt cost

I've had a leak on the right manifold for a while now. The left one just started leaking today. I was curious what everyone has had to pay to get their trucks fixed.

New ram owner, slightly put off.

I was a bit leery of jumping off the Chevy boat too. I'm so glad I did. I have 106,000 miles on mine now. So far I've replaced a few bulbs, the washer fluid sensor(caused by using rain-x washer fluid), and put a new battery in 5 months ago. It just started leaking exhaust in the area of the...

    Quick gas question

I always ran the 89 with ethanol until they switched it about 3 years ago. I've run the 87 with ethanol since then and haven't noticed any difference or had any problems. I've probably put on 50,000 miles since then. I do fill up with 91 or 93 (depending on what's available) before I tow my...

How well will my truck tow?

I'm going to use my truck as an example and you can make your own decision on that trailer. I have an '11 QC 4x4 3.92 gear and LT275/70R17 tires. The GVWR is 6700, GCWR is 15,500. Payload is listed as 1610 and max trailer wight is listed as 10,050. With 265lbs of me, 32 gallons of gas, and...

    Snow

I'm working in PA and it says 20-30 inches where I'm at. Made it in fine, not so sure about the drive home. Gusts to 35mph should make it interesting.

    Frame rotting out

It would make for a good Farmers Insurance commercial at least.

DO NOT use De Icer in

Mine took almost 3 years to go out. I still use the good stuff, but run 1 gallon of blue in the summer to maybe clean it out. It's been 2 years now and it's still fine, except for the time it came on this winter when it was well below zero.

So I got in an accident today....

That sucks. I was so pissed when I got backed into I could barely talk. I wanted to kill the guy and I think he could tell I wanted to. Hopefully it's just the bumper. He hit the strongest part of your truck. They front of his car is designed to crumple to avoid injury.

Mission question for a Ram 3500 DRW

Have you checked on what it would cost to have a container shipped? Something like PODS you could rent the container from them but I'm sure they're more expensive than just a shipping company.

    Wiper Fluid Sensor ?

One of the symptoms of the bad sensor is the light comes on when it's cold outside. I've already replaced mine once and had it do that to me this winter when it was about -15. It's a $5 part and 15 minutes work to replace it so I still use the good washer fluid.

    Custom Light Bar Grille

It's been a few months since I took these. I'm pretty sure the first is with high beams and the second is with the grille lights. I don't remember if I had the highs on with them or not. The grille mounted the same as the factory if that's what you're asking.

    Custom Light Bar Grille

09-12 Dodge Ram 1500 Rivet Black SS Wire Mesh Packaged Grille w/Shell&LED Lights | eBay This is the one I got in December. I am very happy with the quality and fit. The shell was painted black. I had it painted, so I don't know the quality of the paint. The lights don't add much over the...

    eco diesel 1500 or v6 pentastar 1500

My camper weighs 6900 lbs loaded. There is absolutely no way in hell I would pull a 6000lb camper across country with a v6. I wouldn't really want to do it with my Hemi. Besides the fortune you'd spend in gas, the mountains would be very hard on the motor.

    Wwyd?

It's not my truck, so it's easy to say lemon law it. It shouldn't be a big deal to replace the harness depending on which one it is. If they have to rip half the truck apart to replace it then I would worry a bit about rattles down the road. Tell them your thinking about doing a lemon law and...

How come so many 4th gens...

Mine has been out for at least a couple of years. It's never leaked so I don't want to touch it. I know I probably wouldn't have a problem getting it resealed, but as many of the trucks that leak, I just don't want to chance it.

    How Come..........

I'm guessing it's because the Express is a cheap model. There are probably a good % of buyers that can't afford or don't want to pay for those. Most dealers are only going to stock what sells best in their area.
