    Changing 3.21 diff in a 4x4 2015

Life story of an old man in st louis, you contradict yourself constantly. :flipthebird:

    Changing 3.21 diff in a 4x4 2015

If all of this was just common sense I wouldn't have gotten 20 different opinions on what is going on and confused me further. Unless a lot of people are lacking common sense, but I doubt it's that... :Stupid Me:

Got a Magnaflow 18 installed today.

Yup that's it, it doesn't sound too bad depending on what you have on the truck. Just think about it this way: every time you hear that sound half your engine is hitching a ride to save you money :roflsquared:

    Changing 3.21 diff in a 4x4 2015

I have the 8 speed open diff. Everyone makes good points, it's all helpful and appreciated thank you! Except for clh1220, no one needs that attitude, there was a time you didn't know a thing about a truck... well I'm not sure that's changed much. The trade in since the truck is so new would be...

    Changing 3.21 diff in a 4x4 2015

Hmm, well doing the rear doesn't sound horrible it's the front that worries me, it would make sense that they are the rame ratio but I never hear anything about it. I'm going to see if I can compare the specs on a front diff on a 4x4 vehicle listed at a 3.92 and see if the front does indeed...

Got a Magnaflow 18 installed today.

It's like a puttering, very low pitched too, when I'm cruising at low speeds it actually sounds louder in mds than when all 8 are firing, with my setup anyway. It's true if you gear select and leave it in 8 (or any other) that MDS won't come on, but every time you even shift out of drive you...

    Changing 3.21 diff in a 4x4 2015

I figured I'd start this thread because I've been searching for the answer for some time now and I've heard absolutely everything and have no solid answer. Mechanics in town, people on here, my brother at the Chrysler dealership, and some others all have different versions of what can and cannot...

pennzoil platinum synthetic oil and filter...

I just put regular mopar oil and do a change every 5000km (3100miles). Maybe go synthetic once there is some more miles on it but really no advantage except less frequent oil changes, which it sounds like you are already going to do.

    Performance upgrades

I'm in this boat (2015 4x4 3.21 open) I really wish I looked into it instead of making quick decisions. I need this changed asap and am disgusted I was provided with this setup. People are saying the front diff gears are welded and the entire diff has to be replaced.

    Performance upgrades

CLH should be here soon to let you know doing any of these upgrades results in 0 gain of hp.

Got a Magnaflow 18 installed today.

I see, well the point was to have a custom tune done once all the parts were on but I guess no point since no hp gained ever on any on vehicle anywhere. We were not talking about whether it was little or a lot of hp gain, you were saying it does absolutely nothing, now you're saying it's only a...

    Ram vs Ram

No quarter mile track eh? Didn't know there was shorter.

Got a Magnaflow 18 installed today.

So you're pretty much saying any intake or exhaust modification adds zero hp, I find that hard to believe. And actually I ran a 2015 focus at the track and it was faster with the intake completely off. Do you require pictures of the slips?

Anyone done mods to the 3.0 EcoDiesel yet?

Yeah people are forgetting this is an engine made by Fiat, no relation whatsoever to Cummins and totally new to Chrysler but not a new engine entirely. Actually, the exact same engine powers the Maserati Ghibli. All I see is these guys being swapped out at the dealer all day long unfortunately...

Got a Magnaflow 18 installed today.

Yeah I'm only judging improvements at WOT anything else and you're not going to notice a thing. I've taken the air cleaner/intake tube right off of tons of vehicles just for fun (a couple brand new fords) and every time there is improvement. Of course the tune is on the list, actually second...

    Magnaflow 15363

Ha I bet it was ten times the cost, how in the hell did you even do it? I have the full screen 8.4 uconnect, I'm an audiophile but damn I don't even know where to start with this thing. Don't you have to steal the line off of every speaker, re-route to amp then back to speakers? And do a line...

    Magnaflow 15363

I just did this exact one 2 weeks ago, I posted pics in the other magnaflow thread, didn't see this one... :banghead: You're right about everything even having the second person to help get the tips right lol. It sounded a touch on the quiet side, which I was aiming for because I had a much...

Interesting, well could be in my head because like I said only seemed like a bit, but the intake absolutely did something.

    Ram vs Ram

Yeah what's with the attitude in this one, I thought we were here to support doing things to our trucks not question why someone wants to do it. When I'm at the track near me people are racing all kinds of shit; snowmobiles, rocket cars, old harleys, tiny dragsters some spending hundreds of...

I did the cat back system from Magnaflow a couple weeks ago, sounds amazing and definitely added a bit of power. Came off easy and went on easy, 30-40 minutes.

    "Anti-spin" questions.

RJL thank you I will definitely give him a call. I'm really gearing this truck (no pun intended) towards speed, my last Ram was all about the trails but now with a newer model I figured it's my chance to check out the other side of things. In all honesty if I wasn't trying to race this thing the...

    "Anti-spin" questions.

Ah ok thanks going to have to look into the parts needed, if anyone has any tips or advice throw it in because I'm going at this with my mechanic/friend and we both lack info on the subject, probably going to go with the 4.10. I'll be contributing many pictures and anything new I learn that I...
