When I first start up the truck in the morning or after it has sat dfor hours everything seems fine until I put it in gear and then I get an engine noise. Have to have the window or door open and if you are parked next to a vehicle it reflects off that and is fairly loud. Anyone else notice that?
I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but I just bought them and put them on and this is what is happening. Several inches up from the bottom on the passenger side they do not contact the windshield. I bought the correct ones and I put the correct on right and left side.
Excuse my ignorance when it comes to 4 wheel drive. I put it in 4 wheel drive in snow when it is slippery and it is messed up when you turn the wheel when in drive or reverse. Something must be wrong, right?
put tires into search but did not work. What have you had good luck with on 1500 Rams? These stock tires break traction all the time in the rain. Want something with all around good traction if possible. If not will buy winter tires along with something better than the Good Year stock.
When trading, the dealership never asks me for maintenance recorrds, in fact I have asked them the last couple of times if they wanted them and they said no.
I guess if you old private party they would probably matter more.
My original tires are in great shape but suck in the rain as others know. Yesterday was a downpour and taking off the tires spin so I put it in 4 wheel high. I went to back up and it was messed up. Almost felt like a tranny problem. Had to give it a lot of gas and it seemed like it was in and...
I just wondered after all this time if they ever found a fix for that reaction you get when coming to a quick stop with the 8 speed tranny. Mine never did it when new but does it quite a bit now.
A short while back a person backed up into the front of my truck. While I was out dealing with that an old lady went to go around my truck and cut it short and scraped the back panel and broke the rear taillight. They gave me a Silverado for a rental with a V8. What a difference. The hemi is so...
I start up my truck first thing and no noise. Somewhere in the first 5 minutes or so I will get a noise and then it goes away and no more noise. How can I record the sound and put on this forum? Do I just do a video of just the sound?
Had the dealership do an oil change today. After it is over I find out they use some additive. Vps I think it said. The guy says it is Valvoline. The owners manual says not to add oil additives and the dealership does.
They did a battery test and did not put the red plastic cover over the...
This truck is going to be brutal in the winter. When it rains it is hard to not spin the tires on start especially if you are turning when starting out.
When the truck was new I did not have the abrupt downshift issue but it started and has got a little worse. Not brutal but I thought it was suppose to go away after break in not start . I will go over 4,000 miles today.
I would hate to end up with electrical problems or rattles or squeaks after install. Not sure if it is a good idea, seems like most people ignore alarms when they are going off.
2014 Ram 1500, horn does not act like any other I have had. Try to do a quick beep and it is almost like a delayed sticky response. The horn beeps longer than I want. Almost like the horn is programmed to give so much of a response and you can't change it by giving a quick press. Anyone else...
Anyone ran the gas way down? Does a warning light come on when it gets low? It has a red line then a white line then another red line and then the E. How low does it go? In the owners manual of cars I had owned it explained how much gas was left when the light went on. I see nothing in the Ram...
Just had a Bedrug installed along with an Access Larado tonneau cover and Trail FX 5 inch straight oval nerf bars. The brackets on those nerf bars suck in my opinion. Anyone know if there are some heavier duty brackets for Trail FX nerf bars? Had I known that I would have bought a different brand.
These take a bit to warm up. 32 degrees this morning and it took 15 minutes for the temp gauge to get up to operating temp. The temp gauge also does not stay in the same spot. It goes up and then drops some and then goes back up repeating the process. Never had a car do that before
Hi,
Just bought a new 2014 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. The owners manual says while cruising, full throttle acceleration is good during break in. In other words floor it. I have never done that during break in before with any of my other vehicles. Have you done this with yours.
