    I was never able to program the spare FOBIK (push button start) for my truck, using Alfa or my Autel. Both units said fob not found or similar.

    Previously posted that I tried to program a FOBIK with both my Autel scanner and alfaOBD with no luck. A couple weeks ago I programmed one of the plastic keys with the Autel and it worked fine.

    Not without being hooked up. The key/fobik program function leads you through the steps of what to do. I programmed a key for a person a couple weeks ago with my Autel and it worked fine. FOBIK...not so much.

    Yes. You have to press the unlock button on the FOBIK to initiate communication.

    I had purchased a spare FOBIK months and months ago. Tried to program it this weekend and didn't work. Tried with both AlphaOBD and my Autel. Both devices gave a message of "The Programmed FOBIK is not inside the vehicle or the FOBIK in the vehicle is not programmed to the RF-HUB". Gave up...

    Well darn....I never had too much luck with AutoTech. Email response is almost nil, if the phone went to voicmail, never got a call back. Put the wrong VIN in the RFH the first time so had to send it back.

    Great. I'm hoping that even though we don't have the door handles, the system would still enable and would at least allow the FOBIK's to be recognized inside the vehicle. I'm off to try and do a TPMS reset on a 2018, using my Autel. Will check in later.

    mjf6175...still waiting for my obdlink to show up. Was looking at Mpgrimm2's BCM text file and there's a setting called "FOBIK Safe Enable". That looks like what needs activated to keep the doors from locking with the FOB inside. Did a search on the term and a Cherokee owners manual came up...
