    Good purchase? 06 1500 HEMI for $12,800

I think the idea of getting a good deal clouded my judgement. I passed on the truck; my search for a truck continues! I'm in the process of selling my Hemi Commander and my wife's Volvo XC90 so that I can get a truck and her a car with decent gas mileage. Ideally I want an 04-05 Hemi QC 4x4 in...

I'm really starting to feel the same way. I think it was a matter of convenience that got me interested.

    Good purchase? 06 1500 HEMI for $12,800

Now that is an awesome deal! You must have gotten lucky there. I'm looking for an 04-07 model judging by my budget of $14-15k. I would have thought I could find a nice 04-05 Hemi QC 4x4 with less than 100k miles within that range but its been tough.

    Good purchase? 06 1500 HEMI for $12,800

Right now I'm driving an 06 Jeep Commander 4x4 w/ the Hemi, so I know I want that engine again. I really don't have a "need" for a 4x4 but I feel like I'll kick myself if I don't. I really cannot spend more than $14-15k on a truck. Maybe I should just get something with higher miles and get...

    Good purchase? 06 1500 HEMI for $12,800

I posted a while back about my upcoming purchase of a Ram 1500/2500 4x4. Since then my needs have changed, I no longer need the 2500 for towing/hauling a car trailer. Anyways, I work for a local Subaru dealership and just yesterday we took in a 2006 Ram 1500 QC SLT 2wd Hemi w/ 68,400 miles...

    Purchasing soon, Ram 1500 4x4 vs 2500 4x4 durability

The sooner my Jeep sells the sooner I can buy a Ram. I'm sticking to my guns and searching for an 04-07 2500. It just hit me I could go the Cummings route! decisions, decisions!

    Purchasing soon, Ram 1500 4x4 vs 2500 4x4 durability

I wouldn't doubt that the 2500 is more truck than I "need". I think the most important factor is the SFA. It's probably not the greatest reason to buy a 2500 over a 1500. If it comes down to it I'm sure I could upgrade the IFS.

    Purchasing soon, Ram 1500 4x4 vs 2500 4x4 durability

Thank you for the input guys, I do appreciate it. It seems like a 2500 is better for me. Right now the amount of hauling I plan to do is a few times a month but I'm sure it'll see a lot more towing in the future after my dad moves closer to me. We'll have a car trailer towing a '70 Cuda or...

    Purchasing soon, Ram 1500 4x4 vs 2500 4x4 durability

I have mixed opinions about the lift causing problems, its a 2 inch spacer lift which I know is cheap and not "correct". My concerns come from the reviews I read from this forum and others. How much stronger are the 2500 suspension components in comparison to the 1500? I'm sure there are...

    Purchasing soon, Ram 1500 4x4 vs 2500 4x4 durability

I'll soon be the owner of a 3rd Gen Dodge Ram but I'm not 100% on which model would be best for me. I currently own an 06 Jeep Commander Limited w/ the Hemi and Quadra-drive 2 4x4 system w/ 60k miles. It has a mild lift and some 32 inch AT's. I've loved this thing over the last 3 years I've...
