Fuel pump wire harness
hey all, while fixing a blown out brake line i had to drop the gas tank. I figured i would replace the fuel pump while i was there and because some connections broke in the process..... now, i am aware on the 6 pin to 4 pin electrical adapter for the fue pump, however here lies my problem...- 870master

p0340 CEL
problem was the rotor. i may have not pushed it down all the way and it was hitting the points on the distributor. change it and its running great now under load.- 870master

im going to put the old one in when i get home from work and see how it runs under load. if the new one is the problem and it is throwing off the timing, ill order a mopar coil. will keep posted- 870master

got a p0340 on my 1997 ram 1500 5.9 v8 auto. looked it up and said it was camshaft pos sesor... but i guess i dont have one of them.. did some diggin around and found pick up coil in the distributor. so i swapped that out today, started it up, was running smooth, revved it up, no probems, let it...- 870master

i have um on my ram. was in the same position as you, couldnt afford to spend a bunch. think i got 4 of them from discount tire direct for around 500 (promo was included) and spent around 70 on install. pretty decent tires, self cleaning, only got about 5000 miles on them so i cant really tell...- 870master

thanks for the suggestions, i replaced the black o ring before so i really do not think that is the problem. ill look into getting a metal rail. if im not mistaken, the metal rail have a different fuel line connection too, correct? my fuel line is the male, and my rail is the female connection.- 870master

to start, i have a 1997 ram 1500 5.9 v8 360 recently i have been experiencing some fuel leakage coming from the fuel rail/ fuel line connection. the rail is plastic, the line is metal and had 3 o rings on it (2 blue, one black) currently to solve my problem, i disconnect the fuel line from...- 870master
