What's the best supercharger for 5.7L

I believe the 2013 and up kits use an SCT X4, pre-loaded. You would supply your VIN# when you place your order. The 2015 and later, you have to send in your PCM to SCT and have it unlocked first, before you can load the file. Detailed color Instructions come with every kit.

Call Arrington. They've made one fit. The EGR on the 6.4L truck is different.

What's the best supercharger for 5.7L

I gained about 2mpg when just cruising, and will make peak boost around 4K rpm. It will make an instant 6psi at any speed if you mash it. Hemi's use a split powdered rod, similar to LS engines. Even the Hellcat rods are Split rods.

light at the end of the tunnel?

600ft/lbs and some Hoosiers at the track, and I'd be a little worried. The lower should be boxed in if possible on the backside. Stock brakects are stamped then welded onto the axle tube by robots. If these are laser cut then bent, there could be some structural integrity concerns. Since I...

First install of Illicit Fab no cut brackets

Hmmm. That gauge steel looks a bit on the thin side. Upper would be fine, but I can picture tweaking that lower when making 600ft/bs and drag slicks. Time will tell.

    more Spohn control arm drama

Guys, my arms are quiet, no noise at all. I will tell you that I went this route because my Spohn Arms failed. The locknut popped out at the track, twice. I returned the arms to Spohn for a full refund, no questions asked. I have photos of the failure available. Its scary. Once set and locked...

Ok, so why don't you send a set down here to SoCal, where the air is perfect for some drag strip passes, and some dyno pulls. I have acces to a dyno, some radials, and a race track.... just saying.

Screws still suck for reliability. You want the Eaton TVS Hybrid Roots style supercharger. OEM test parameters, and reliability is proven. TVS1900 will support approx 800HP, TVS2300 approx 950HP, and the TVS2650 over 1200hp. All while being more efficient then their closest Twin Screw...

    Spoon bars clunking

I'd love to. Currently working on the compressor maps for both the TVS2650, and the Whipple W175X. Shows that at the same pressure ratios, the 2650 is on average 5% more efficient, has a higher max RPM.

    Spoon bars clunking

Eaton designed the TVS2650 to best the Whipple 2.9L, and they did. The 2650 has a higher max RPM, and the Whipple only has an slight efficency advantage above 16psi. Differences between the Eaton TVS2300 vs TVS2650: 170 degree twist (vs. 160 degree) Better sealing with optimized...

    1. I liked the looks of the new RAM better (inside and out) Agreed 2. No 6.2L (that I knew of) offered in a RCSB (It can be Special Optioned by a competent dealer, you have to go through the commercial division, and add a bed) 3. $$ to what you get = RAM is a better deal period (ala'...

Yeah, not sure if ya heard, but Magnuson/Eaton makes a TVS2650 now. The Whipple units are no longer efficient since the TVS2650 release. We had a Hellcat here at work, installed the TVS2650, Tune, and made 871 RWHP. We then de-tuned to about 840, took it to the track and ran a 9.93 1/4 mile on...

    Spoon bars clunking

Yep. The issue when lowering is the arms are no longer parrallel, and actually work against correct handling. Its not generally noticeable until high speeds or high speed off camber situations. Its due to the instant center being way off after lowering. Changing lanes at 90+ and you hit an...

Maybe I am missing something from the pictures, but it looks as if the upper OEM mount is cut off, then the replacement bracket installed but with only one bolt.... I would think that could flex, and/or pivot. I do see it "capturing" the bend in the OEM lower bracket, my Thought was small bead...

Thanks for the heads up on this. These look exactly like what I was envisioning in my head. I would think if one was to weld these in, and they're made with the same gauge steel as the factory bracket, strength wouldn't be an issue. Time to go follow.

Twisted Metal works has multiple ways to do it, all run parallel 4 link, with Watts link or stout panhard bar. Coilovers or Air Bags. He even keeps the OEM Fuel cell in the factory location, you just lose your spare tire. My thought was parallel 4 link, with the OEM tank, Watts link, and...

I don't care about other fast cars. I care about my truck, and potentially coming up with a bolt on solution for every one with a factory linked RAM truck. Drag racing the truck is fine, stays in a straight line no issues. Its when it gets off camber at 110+ mph on the freeway where shit...
