I have the same problem so my motor gears broke and i dont wanna buy one, a bit to pricey, so mine just moves back and forth. so i got it where i wanted it and drilled a hole threw the bracket and put a screw threw it. May be Redneck fix but it works for me. best thing is if you buy a new... -

Body Work.
Before Middle Finish! This it my passenger side of the truck and i didnt want it to look liike the driver side. Duraglasss and bondo as a finish. For the Final paint i use Truckbed liner. So it would last awhile! Tell me what ya'll think? -
