    I would have told them to cram it in their cram hole. Also, I would not let it go. Contact FCA, and find out if the story is legit. If it is not, the sales manager has some explaining to do. Contact the GM of the dealership, and let him/her know you're not happy.

    I have to disagree. A new carrier and bearings were installed. If anything is off by 1/1000", then the backlash changes. Anytime the carrier is removed and reinstalled, it is good practice to measure backlash and check the gear pattern.

    Probably 25% of ads are 8 lug. I just looked at Knoxville Craigslist, and there aren't many ads listed. Ebay might be another option. There are many tire/wheel dealers on ebay that will ship a full set of takeoffs.
