Failure to yield and now new 21 Limited

She was fine, young and scared, but ok (as was her baby). Speaks volumes on the safety on modern vehicles. 2017 Chevy Volt and 2017 Ram 1500 at ~50 MPH (pre-breaking) and everyone walks away.

Failure to yield and now new 21 Limited

Here's the thing, there was a baby in a car seat in the rear passenger seat. Slept through it all, woke up when mom was getting him out of his car seat. No glass on him or anything. This is something I've been struggling with, I know I wasn't at fault, but the what ifs for that baby.

Failure to yield and now new 21 Limited

So I didn't disclose I had the camera or the footage. After I made sure everyone was ok I pulled it down and put it in my pocket. I wanted to be 100% sure what happened before I offered it up. Didn't need to offer it up, but had in case I did.

Failure to yield and now new 21 Limited

I'm now a member of the 5th Gen club due a driver failing to yield (no injuries). I had a 17 Limited with only 45k miles on it. Insurance settlement was $3k less than I bought it for in 2017. So I can't complain to much I guess (all things considered). Also, everyone get a dash camera! Removed...

    ‘17 front air suspension collapsed

I would say not likely as it is only raising up a little bit. You can run in Offroad 1 and Offroad 2 heights that are a lot higher than this. Members and other users have been running with these linkages for years. I think either it was a fluke or I have something electrical going on. In the...

    ‘17 front air suspension collapsed

Got truck back today. Work order shows compressor shorted. They replaced the front height sensors and put the oem plastic linkages on. Guess they kept or tossed my adjustable links. But hey, they covered it all under warranty. Real question is what caused the compressor to short out? Just normal...

    ‘17 front air suspension collapsed

10/2 update. Dealer still has the truck. Has the compressor in but has not installed it yet. Attached is a pic of the linkages I used to level it out. This was taken before I installed them and the length difference is even less than what’s in this pic. As they were adjusted once on. Sure hope...

    ‘17 front air suspension collapsed

9/26/18 update: Stopped by and talked to the service advisor. They ordered a compressor and should have that in tomorrow. No mention about warranty not covering it. Saw the price on the work order for the compressor of $1410. I didn’t authorize that amount so assuming at this point warranty is...

    ‘17 front air suspension collapsed

Yeah, bit worried about coverage. I kept them in the truck for about a year and then took them out. What ever it is it was quick. Both sides went down together and the pump is not trying to run at all. Just driving along normally and now it’s at a dealer. Was out on the road and no where near...

    ‘17 front air suspension collapsed

Wife was driving our 2017 Ram 1500 with Air suspension and the front collapsed on her. It’s at the dealer now. Truck has never been off-road and has 13k miles on it. Anyone seen this before? Only thing I am worried about is I put the adjustable links for the height sensors on it like 18 months...

Folding flat floor for RAM 1500 Quad cab

Wow, higher than I would have thought. Have that and the factory limited mats I need to sell at some point, but need to have 50 posts to post in classifieds. Not going to just post randomly to get access.

Folding flat floor for RAM 1500 Quad cab

I have a fold-flat from a 17 Crew Cab sitting in the garage. Removed when I installed the netaudio box. Have no clue what it would cost to ship, but it's just sitting in my garage.

    which muffler for qtp cutout?

No muffler! Only reason to have cutout is to be loud when you want to. If you want just a little loud just crack the cutout a little bit.

Video of how to install leveling kit on air ride suspension.

Just curious, why this method over the $30 method of adjusting the sensor linkage lengths? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHeI-SGBzZw&t=8s I did the linkage method on mine. Edit: Watched all the way to the end this time: "Although you can level the truck with just the links, this makes the...

Update: Took to dealer yesterday and got the call today it is a leaking seal on the front axle locker actuator. Replacing the actuator and "other" parts as required. Will update post once I get the truck back.

    Leak on 4x4

Just went and check, not coming from filter. It's a clear oily fluid. Here's a pic from the front showing the location. It's a small leak, just noticed a few drops in the driveway while I was cutting the grass today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Leak on 4x4

Noticed a few spots under truck today. It's coming from front drive. Truck is 17 with only 1500 miles, I know I need to take it in to have the leak fixed, but how urgent is this? Can I drive it 2 wheel drive for a week or so or do I need to go in Tuesday? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
