    Hemifever tune update

How long has it usually taken people to get a response back from Sean after e-mailing request for an updated Hemifever tune? I know his inbox is probably getting flooded about it.

    So Much Moly

Just glanced at that thread and every member using it seems happy with their switch. Sounds like I found my new combo, as well. Thanks for the quick responses.

    So Much Moly

I guess Redline kinda puts everything else to shame, for HEMIs. Sign me up. Do you still recommend the RP filter, or is there a better one?

    So Much Moly

Has anyone heard of Schaeffer's Supreme 9000 synthetic oil? It has so much more molybdenum than other more popular oils. I understand that HEMI's love moly because of their sub-standard oil circulation, and moly is a super-lubricant. I pulled this search off the PQIA website, from their 2013...

Exhaust tips and exhaust cutout questions

Why not keep the SW 1 7/8" headers but convert back to stock exhaust setup, Y-pipe -> single 3" midpipe -> single in/dual out muffler OR Y-pipe -> dual tips? Would that be sufficient back pressure to regain the lost torque, and still keep some benefits of the SW headers? Edit: You may need a...

need help with tranny fluid, filter and transfer case fluid change

I just drained mine out, sprayed it with a hose, and wiped it down with a towel. As long as there's no sediment or pools of water afterward, it should be fine.

    Valvetrain Chatter After Header Install

Got it. No thermal wraps. Poke 'em in the eye. So simple, it's genius!

    Valvetrain Chatter After Header Install

Understood. Seems like sound absorbent matting is the way to go.

    Valvetrain Chatter After Header Install

I recently installed headers. After panicking about a loud ticking that I thought was an exhaust leak, we concluded it was chatter from the valvetrain that the stock cast iron headers were able to suppress better than these thinner, steel headers. My question is what is a good way to muzzle...

    JBA Shorty Install

I had a magnaflow 18" on prior to this, and was hoping the JBAs would make it roar louder. Sadly, it hasn't been as loud or rumbly as I had anticipated. I can however feel a difference in performance when paired with a Hemifever tune. 90 mph comes quickly if you're not careful Lol. Not much...

    JBA Shorty Install

I just installed the JBA titanium ceramic shorty headers (1961S-2) on my 2012 RAM 1500 4x4 Laramie crew cab. They cost me $689 from Moe's, no tax, free shipping. For the installation, I purchased Permatex Ultra Copper gasket sealant for $8 at Autozone, 6.1 HEMI OEM gaskets (JBA's aren't...

    JBA Shorty Install

I suppose that makes sense since the stock block-hugger headers were thick cast iron. Thanks for the reassurance. :)

    JBA Shorty Install

For the record: After this installation, there has been a "tick" sound that was not there previously, under any amount of acceleration. Checked for leaks, possible valvetrain issue. Any correlation?

Rear door issues and performance question

Catalytic converters are used to remove harmful exhaust molecules from the combustion process and convert them into not-so-harmful emissions. They're made from layers and layers of honeycomb-like, chemically-treated, metallic plates stacked asymmetrically. This configuration of stacked plates...

    2014 2500 shake at 75-80 mph

Not only tires, but any rolling mass in the assembly, to include brake rotors. Had my stock rotors replaced with cross/drilled rotors a few months back and can feel a slight shake at 70mph that wasn't there previously.

    JBA Shorty Install

These OEM gaskets are great! And I can get rid of the heat deflector from the stock headers, because they already have one built on. It started normal and there doesn't seem to be any leaking. Good to go. Now to get my HF test run to Sean.

    JBA Shorty Install

I think I'll do that. Truthfully, I tightened the shit out of them cuz I was nervous about this whole situation. If it turns out to be just chems burning off, I'll be much happier. I love the sound! I had a Magnaflow 18" on it prior to this install, and its low rumble got amplified 10x...

    JBA Shorty Install

Black exhaust? How so? A friend mentioned that new headers would burn off whatever finishing chemicals they had, like you said BigSloth, both inside and outside. Could that have also produced the white haze I saw? All I know is that I panicked and shut it off immediately after I noticed it...
