Following this thread. I hope you get it worked out (sorry can't provide any meaningful suggestions). I love the 5th gen look and like the price even better. $800+ on oem 5rh gens is kind of spendy for a purely aesthetic change (my specific use case). -

which tail lights are those? Did you have LED tails prior to the swap pout (I would assume you did with the rebel trim)? Were you able to just plug these in place of the oem or did you need to go into AOBD to get them to work. -

RAM RECALL WHEELS AND BACK UP CAMERA
And that's why my tag is crash 68... Lol. I disagree due to both the size and height of the rams rear end, the back up is pretty essential.... Or have you not seen the kids getting run over on their trikes videos that are all the rage? I have back up sensors and I'd much rather have the camera... -

I'll double check my fogs. It was a long time ago when I thought I saw that occur. I was pretty sure that EVERYTHING shut down and that's why it stuck in my mind as being odd. Perhaps it's the timer after you shut down and I just assumed they would never go off. I will find out in about 15 min... -

Not as often as i'd like! Lol. I had it for 3.5 out of the 5 years i've owned the truck. There were a couple large stretches in between where I just refused to re-up because although I enjoy a couple of the things the service offers (speech to text and send and go) it isn't a real value to me...- Sinistre1

It's amazing to me the wide range of responses with most favoring replacement. I know my ears ain't what they used to be and I doubt there's that much variance between t he actual head units and speakers in the trucks, so it HAS to be a difference in tastes... it's almost enough to make me tear...- Sinistre1

OEM Battery Life
2016 since new from dealer. Died a couple months ago but here's the kicker... The battery was coded 2013. There's a thread on here somewhere and it seems a lot of our trucks from 2013 to late 2017 ALL had 2013 batteries so although I got right around 5 years on mine, the battery was actually 8...- Sinistre1

Sorry they didnt work out for you. I love mine and I think they complete the look from a close distance they almost look color matched to my truck. I agree with the post about the noise. I searched "AVS in channel visor sand" I couldnt find the specific thing but even with that search you'll get a few hits where people talk about thinning the plastic or sanding down the tab. I dont remember which I did unfortunately but I do remember sanding the visors with... -

Dont get me started on Polks... I had a set of their then flagship Lsi25"s and Lsi9s sent from Crutchfield. Talk about disappointment. Other than the looks they were way overhyped/ overpriced... for my tastes at least. Sent them back and gladly ate the freight... and they were big! Lol- Sinistre1

Theres either a YouTube video or forum post that noted that lightly sanding the protruding area thinner helps. I did and have had not a single problem with mine for 3 years.or so. Wait til its warm to put it on... and leave window rolled up continuously for 48hrs to let glue set. A warm Spring... -

Respectfully, You need to start at... what do YOU want and like. I'm probably in the minority but I absolutely love my Alpine set up. It's very balanced, transparent and neutral. It's not far off the sound I have in my home system and I consider myself a sound snob. One of my hobbies is AV stuff...- Sinistre1
