By top, do you mean the one that sits right underneath the swaybar or is there one thats lower near the i guess frame section piece it attaches to? Thats the only 1 could tell up top but maybe i need the truck on stands instead of ramps?
Question, how do you get the stock links removed? I couldnt figure it out this weekend. But i had the truck up on ramps as i didnt have any jack stands. Todays payday so i can buy those if i need them.
If you want OEM, then through the dealer or find someone selling their's. There are aftermarket hoods like the Duraflex MP-R hood which is exactly the same & then there's the RKSport version in the pic below
You can find the chrome mopar mirror covers on ebay, but idk how they look when installed. Ive been thinking about maybe buying them and having them paint matched. Maybe next check, just pulled the trigger on gloss black vinyl
To have it fit correctly, you will have to modify the bumper where the grille meets it to have a 2500 grille & hood with a 1500 bumper. I know its been done by a member over on RamForumZ. I just dont remember how much work was needed.
I need to order mine already lol it's been 1 of those mods that gets pushed back for others to get done lol but yours looks good and definitely need the brake light blacked out. I ordered a smoked tint to try and install for mine when i do this. If i screw that up or dont like it, ill just buy...
The tips will help make it louder but are worth it mainly for the looks. A 5" tip fills up the openings in the bumper nicely. Mr. Smiths truck above is a perfect example...
Yeah i know it doesn't give any gains. Its a top end intake. But if someone wants to do it, might as well let them know it can be done but low end powers gonna suffer with a n/a motor.
If i remember correctly, the 6.1 intake kills low end power on our trucks unless you are boosted. Unbroken had it on his old single cab procharged Ram.
I know it bolts right up, just have to move & modify stuff around to work with it.
Oh ok, i never really looked to see if the gains Peak claimed were true. I have a 02 SS Camaro, so for me i was just going straight to the FAST manifold at the time....
But hopefully there are some gains here that'll make it worth doing.
I know Peak Speed Shop in Colorado ports the 5.7 & 6.4 intakes for the cars & claims of up to 18hp gains can be seen. Idk how different those manifolds are from ours but hopefully we can see some similar numbers, maybe...
They claim 12-18hp gains for the GM truck manifolds. They also port...
There's different types of stainless, just cause the stock system is "stainless" don't mean its good quality stainless. This is just my opinion though.
And a majority of all catbacks are from either the muffler or I pipe back. Very few are made from the cats back as most aren't designed from...
Honestly if you have the money to spend on the full catback. I'd go that route. It's much better quality than stock.
The cheaper route would be to just buy the Mufflex kit & tips. Moes Performance makes & sells 5" tips that are direct bolt ons to the stock exhaust. I'm not sure if they offer...
Heres how my truck sounded with Dynomax Bullets. Resonators removed & 5" tips installed. I had an x pipe installed where the stock y pipe was. These are 16.5" overall length bullets i believe.

Hard to find pics but found these. The R/T one im sure follows the lines of the hood. I would consider doing the hood stripe or spears. I think either would look good. The orange truck i posted earlier has the spears with the roof.
Here's some pics...
Red one i believe may be carbon fiber wrap. Hard to tell with the edits on the picture. The 1st white truck looks to be gloss and the 2nd i know is flat/matte black. Got these pics off instagram and the last orange one from RamForumZ. Believe thats a flat/matte as well...
The one's i had i believe were the 16.5" length one's. So the one you're looking at will be alot louder then what mine were. And im not to sure but i believe you could use a resonator as a muffler to pass inspection. They tend to look just like bullet mufflers.
For example, the SLP Loudmouth 1...
