Let us know how it goes. It is always fun to see what numbers these trucks can put down.

Harder brake. and a little less pretorque on the tranny. I wouldn't lauch in 4x4. Too much at stake plus the 60 mph. is a no no on dry roads. **** any speed is a no no on dry roads.

Diesel boys do it all the time. Just do not turn or try to shift in or out of 4x4 under power. Make sure that all of your tires are inflated equally as well when you run 4x4. You can even torque brake to get the revs up a bit more by stalling the converter.

4Hi is safe long as your front shafts for the wheels are flat or close to flat. If they are at an angle you will get play.

Reason being : I have some horrible 1 wheel peel right now, so Im trying to find a way to get a little more traction without feathering my launch.

Can always pick up a wider tire and a set of caltracs.

So Trup are ya gonna try it (4Hi launch)? I got my original rims and tires back today from Wheel-spin39 and am gonna redo my Tune (set Tire Ht) and use some of the holdem-launchem tips in 4wd to see if the TC gives any better time than my best as I need to know that before I change the Cam and Gears. With those I'm not wasting 383 bucks ea in tires.

BTW: I made a comment Trup.. that you should buy KGBigCountry's Cam...Check out his thread..I think that would be your ticket...but its your truck and your buck my freind.
You US Military Guys get big bonuses, and housing incentives right, or is it Just the Navy?? Cause I seen some nice rides when I was at Eglin for 3 months.

Yeah I tried the 4hi launch, launched great, 0-60 was worse, but my 1/4 mile time was better. Don't remember the exact numbers, but I don't know if I wanna duplicate it, cause I ran my 4hi to about 96 mph. Lol

Ive got plans for this piece of my reenlistment bonus in november. Mcgaughy's 2/4.5 drop, caltracs, rear hellwig sway bar, front poly sway bar bushings, and air ride bags for the rear leafs. After that, Im saving for 4.56 gears for the front and rear, and Ill install my Truetrac, when I do that. After that, wideband, boost guage, fuel guage, then maybe a cam. If no cam, then It'll get supercharged. I'm really getting itchy, hearing about all you guys and these cam gains though. I would definately have to look into what I want the truck to do, and which cam would best suit the performance parts I'll have. But I have my list, so I'll eventually get to it... just not yet. Thanks for the tip though!
