So I'm adding an AC D6.1200 to my current setup. I'm going to be removing the 4 awg and replacing it with 1/0 awg.

With the 4 awg I used a ring terminal to tie on at the fuse box but I'm thinking with the 1/0 I probably should run directly to the battery.

Question I have is how is everyone handling the connection to the battery??

Tx in advance-

Why not just run a 2nd 4 guage? It hides under the carpet easier. That's what I did.20200830_082012.jpg 20200830_082004.jpg

That did cross my mind but I've already got the 1/0 awg wire from another install so figured I save some coin. I wondered if that's one way to handle the connection - perhaps I'm overthinking it? Appreciate your input.

No matter what you'll need a ring terminal for the connection and the crimpers. Can also fill the crimp with solder to make the connection even better. Whether you connect where I did or on the battery post should make no difference. If I had the wire and no other use for it I'd do the same thing vs spending more cash so I get that part.

Yeah I've got all that stuff so not too worried about that end of things. I was originally looking at knuconceptz ultimate battery terminal but the thing can only be clocked a couple of ways and I'm not certain it would be ideal. That's the real reason I was asking to see what others have done.

Tx for your input BWL!

Just got done dampening the rear wall and building an amp rack. Need some adhesive to get it glued into position. Then I'll cover it with some foam I have left over from another project.

Yeah, my whole truck is sound dampened. These things rattle with just the stock audio. At least mine did.
