From what I've read, that catch can should be number one on your list.

Is a catch can recommended once you tune? Or just in general for the 5.7?

It's pretty much just recommended for anyone. Other mods aren't necessary. It's supposed to keep junk from getting back into your motor. From everything I've read, they work. I need to order one myself.

Beautiful Color. What does the factory call that?

Love the Avatar shot too! ... coming from a previous Dodge turned late model Mustang Cobra guy. But, will always miss my built 340's, one in a Dart Swinger, the other in a Duster.

Share some info on it. What 'Strip was that shot taken? What's she run Etc.

The color of the truck is True Blue Pearl. Its a 1968 Dodge Dart 440ci big block bored 30 over with a 493ci stroker kit making it a 499ci with H beam rods and 12.5:1 dome pistons. It has a 580 lift hyd camshaft. It has steel 452 heads Aluminum. MSD Ingntion TM7 intake with a 950 cfm carb. It has 727 with a 3500-4000 stall with reverse manual valve body. It has an 8 3/4 rearend with 391-410 gears. The pic was taking at Colonial beach drag strip 1/8 mile It ran 7.10-7.15@ 97mph I'm granny shifting it at 5500 rpm's. I have a set of 457 gears I'm gonna install soon. I have had a timing light on it yet to fine tune it and I havn't touched the carb either..

Impressive build Info!

What does that convert into for a theoretical 1/4 mi pass? Real low 10's?

I only run 1/8 out on the West Coast when they used to shut down the top end due to poor track conditions at Los Angeles County Raceway when it still existed. But, I was fortunate enough to have run several of the ol Strips before they went away; Inyo-Kern, the old Fontana, and LACR, but for the last few outings, we were stuck going all the way up to Auto Club Raceway (Famoso), or doing the hokey 1000' "Grudge Race" type of thing on Willow Spring's front straight just to get a fix in every now and then. But, that is like a real street race scene, with no prep, on Asphalt with portable timing equipt and no room to do a good burnout or anything. Didn't really matter... it was always covered in sand and dust anyway. But, it kept a lot of folks from doing it on the street I suppose.

You must be pulling down some insane 60' times.

And by judging you are going to .56's I guess you have no plans of running a 1/4 mile track. That thing will be screaming through the traps in the 1/8th as it is.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks in the 1/4 it would be a 11.00 to 11.08@ 122-123 mph,my best 60ft isn't bad but it could be better. 1.60 Its a street car with a 10" tire.and its NA no power adders. When the tracks open and I start taking it to the track I'm gonna raise the shift points higher till it slows down then put it where its the quickest at. When I change the hyd cam and go with a big soild or rollor camshaft I'm gonna turn it 6500-6800 rpm's. I believe with 457's I still will be able to go 1/4.

I de badge the truck and i put the rain guards and bug shield on my truck. I left 5.7 Hemi on the front fenders and I left the big ram head on the tailgate,
