Was trying to avoid motorad therefore stant goes. Gates makes a 34253 and a 34253S.... The "s" says "premium thermostat incorporates an all stainless steel construction, larger heat motor and larger spring to provide superior performance."

What's a larger heat motor?

Was considering it then found Ultra power uses the same model numbers but don't have an 's' suffix.

My original factory 203 says "USA"...does that brand still exist?

New Mopar brand 203 runs about 6 degrees warmer than original factory at first heat cycle. Goes to 212 before coming down to 194

What ever thermostat you settle on,make sure you chuck it in a pot of water and bring the water to a boil and make sure it opens, before you install it,and don't be surprised if it only makes it 6 months, before it goes south.Lately it's more luck of the draw if you get a good one,no matter what brand it is.
