I own a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4, and I'm looking to add a flatbed to my truck. I wanted to use a military box from a trailer such as the m1101 for it. My main problem is the wheelbase difference of the short bed truck and the other military box. Is there another alternative to use, or would cutting a section of the m1101 box and welding it back together at a shorter length?

I'd cut the M1101 box to fit.

Likely going to either have to cut the military bed or lengthen the frame
