2 12" RF subs in prefab box - questions

They sound ok, been toying around for a while eliminating one and freeing up some air space. Has anyone done this? Can I port a prefab, I don't think so but might as well ask.


Anyone been able to modify one to sound better and hit a better range or just deal with it until I decide on a customer under seat enclosure.

The best option is to sell the RF's and purchase a sub made for small enclosures. you will be far happier in the long run

that's what i figured. just never knew if i would like the shallow for it

you can always compensate lack of airspace with more power....to a degree

you dont need a shallow mount. i have an alpine type R that has a mounting depth of 6.25" and it sounds absolutey phenomenal. its good from .55 cf to 1 cf

I would just buy a already ported PRE-Fab Fox Box like the one I have in my truck the bass is bananas turned all the way down. Can't go wrong with this way
