Can anyone verify if this is the correct spring I need to update these?

PT # 5037477AD

Will I need anything else for this, outside of a compressor tool?

Anything else you would recommend I do while inside? I have a broken spring, but has not dropped the valve yet, so needless to say it is not being driven and I want to get them ordered asap. Not too much done to the truck, intake, programmer, headers and exhaust. Only 98k on this dude.

Thanks for the help!!

Put in 16 6.1 exhaust springs, this is what I run in my 03 and while your in there replace all the valve seals with a FelPro-Kit you won't regret it. The spring upgrade won't hurt anything and you can rev higher with confidence and if you decide to cam later your good to go. The original 5.7 springs did not have buckets, later models did so you need a good compression tool specific for Hemi if not you will need to remove the brake booster which can cause $$$ problems later (Trust me on this one). Crane Cams makes a good Tool, just google it. will get you the part number for the valve springs. You also need a good pen sized magnet for keeping the keepers from falling when they are ready to come out and help when re-installing. I used a Compression tester (screws into one of the spark plug holes) plugged into my air hose/small compressor to keep the valves up and air in the cylinder while working on the spring swap.

Mancini Racing makes one too but it looks like your working blind (maybe a bad photo) and they are outta stock.

This one looks good and maybe cheaper to buy than the Cranes.

I have an Old Dragon Accord Model that still works, and I know Weed used to make and sell them too but its been ages since I heard from Him?

Mario, I like, But That Miller (MLR9065B) is about $350 bucks so even I would not pay that even though I have bought the other 2 Miller "Damper" Tools and a Two different sized OTC 3 Jaw Pullers. The other Ones are like $200 Bucks.

I used paper towels stuffed in all the oil drain holes to play it safe. Also I'd have a couple extra keepers on hand just encase one gets dropped. With the radiator removed it is easy to stand in front of the engine to reach everything otherwise I use a thick towel over the radiator and just crawl up on the engine. If you have the hemi tick you might try the 6.1 push rods to seat a little deeper in the lifters.

Depending on your mileage for ease of mind you could through a new timing chain kit on there.

Im only at 98k, figured I would do plugs while I was at it, but didn't think a timing chain was needed, as they are not as brittle as the timing belt of new. Any thoughts?

Being a 03, I would upgrade to the 6.1 cam chain design.

Haven't read about any issues with these, can someone help me out with a part number, or this just the stock 6.1 design? May wait to do this when I do the cams next year.

If you are only doing springs and intend to do a cam later, I'd wait for the cam change to do it. I used the Crower adjustable set when I did mine. You will need to look up the number.
