I havent raced one yet but Ive been hearing that motor would beat the Hemi hands down. Wondering if anyone has had any experience with these 6.2's and if they are faster what kinda of mods could we do to make our trucks more comparable.

Yea there's a kid around town with a new Chevy 6.2 and supposedly he's been beating all the gasoline trucks and I raced a new tundra granted I am on bigger tires from 20-55 we were nosed up then after that its like I hit the breaks his truck stock and my truck has dsp 93 and catback but I guess that 6.2 beat the tundra pretty bad

The 6.2 will probably walk you. Stock they're low 14 second trucks and with minimal mods they're in the low to mid 13s

The 6.2 has 50+ more hp then your truck and another gear. Tough race...

Stock 6.2L is 403 hp and 417 torque. A 4th gen could maybe take stock but depends where the 6.2L makes its power. We all know ratings are skewed and may not even show up at the race. I know you can get it with 6 speed so he would have a ear on ya.
I feel my truck could take it as it sits now but probably not stock. Since 07's had about 40 less hp stock I think Chevy boy would beat you.
Go race Chevys with the typically motor the 5.3L is 315 hp 335 torque. Haha
Don't forget about the number one mod though. The driver :)

I have driven quite a few Escalades and Denalis with the 6.2 and they are very low end torquey engines. I think the 4th gen hemis could beat them from say 50-100 since Hemis make there power up high.

Roll racing is death to a trans at that speed unless the driver in the hemi is holding second at the start of the race. If not the truck will down shift and hit second prime which feels awesome but will cause trans issues down the road.

No 5.3 here in my area has left me.... But a guy I work with with a 5.4 swears he can..... I highly doubt it though!!! Lol haven't had a chance to run against a 6.2 but I won't be that upset if I lose lol (big motor difference)

Droid Incredible 2 on the move!!!!

I've driven a 6.0 and that thing had no lowend period. Wouldn't mind running the 6.2. Its the sad thing about cars, no matter how fast you get there is always someone faster

The Op has an 07 that does not have auto stick. From a dig on a track would be the best and safest race. The 50-100 roll that was stated on a stock truck is putting it in not an ideal power band or gear hoping it doesn't down shift into second prime and take out the clutch packs.
