I have a 2013 Ram Express RCSB 2wd

Mods - 6 speed

-vararam
-JBA LT Headers
-JBA OR Y Pipe
-Muffler delete
-Hemifever Tune

-26" tall rear radials ~~~

RAN a 13.81 @ 99.8 mph


ABOUT TO ADD -

-EDGE 3000 Stall
-4.10 Gears
-28" Tall tires all around for a 4.71 effective ratio (Drag Radials for the back)
*note: I can always add a taller tire for a lower effect. gear ratio.

What is your 1/4 mile guesstimate TIME?



AND MAYBE...

RIPP SC Kit @7-8psi ~ 450ish RWHP?

1/4 mile guess???? I have no idea which is why I am asking what to expect...

If you were at a 13.8 before, you should be able to easily knock off another .5 in the 1/4 between the gears and converter.

What was your 60' time on that 13.8 pass?

I have a 14 qc 6spd 3.92 and tune. Im shooting for 13.9-14.0 this sunday. You should already be around 13.5 now. Are you stalling it up now when you launch?

Whay gears did you have when you ran the 13.8?

Do you have any sort of "posi-trac" in the rear?

I thought stalling hurt times on the HEMI with the BS TQ management.

Ive yet to run OFFICIALLY at a track, but I was hoping for a low 14 (uncorrected. Low mid 13 corrected). Don't think ill get there without a set of 17's and tires though.

Id say you could get a 13.2 to a 13.4, anywhere in between with what you got going in soon. But im guessing. Were pretty similar mod wise actually. I too, was thinking converter as well for mine.

And as for the RIPP. Quarter mile time is DNQ as they'll be towing you back to the pits, and cleaning tranny fluid from the lane.

First off tuning for RIPP will be a mother ******. Going to cost quite a bit for dyno runs and tuning.

2nd, 7-8psi and you are going to rip apart your tranny especially with a tq converter on hard launches. You wouldnt even last a season of casually drag racing so be ready to drop $$$ for a built transmission.

Everyone is scared of superchsrgers because of the transmission, when in reality, it will hold up just fine for straight line drag racing. You can upshift all you want at 500hp, and the transmission will be fine. The problems occur when driving on the street and doing WOT downshifts or trying to hold 4th gear at WOT. As long as you drive the truck properly around town, you wont have anything to worry about in the transmission.

I will be seeing just how far we can push 1 of these on my 2011 RC build.

I am going with nitrous, but the same principle applies on how much power the transmission can take while upshifting at the track.
