What do you guys recommend brand wise for balljoints. Mine are getting a little play already at 32k.

I have always liked MOOG. They get a little pricey, but they are well worth it. I am a full time mechanic, and from experience, buying cheap...you just replace a lot sooner. I have seen some of the cheap ball joints go within 10k miles. If you do not choose MOOG, make sure you get a joint with a grease fitting.

I've used moogs on mine at ~60k and ~120k, have had good luck with them with the bigger tires adding wear. I have heard a lot of good things about EMF, but I know they'll be harder on the wallet.

They are rebuildable if needed... so after 2 moog bjs the price comes close

Wow! You're replacing balljoints already? Seems a little soon for them to wear out to me.

Mine was leaking... 43kmiles... didnt want to have then fail hundreds of miles from home.....

As for others... offset and bigger tires cam wear those ball joints faster

It's a 100k mile wear item on a truck with regular size tires and wheels, you can effectively halve that on 12"+ wide and/or 33"+ tall tires.

And depends on how much trail it actually sees.. ball joints dont like lateral pressure... when the truck is flexing.. the balljoints are getting a workout

My truck is stock every thing.. But mud tires in factory size. I don't know why but they have a little slop on both sides already.

The oem joints arent the best quality. They are doable but not lifetime...

How are you figuring out which part # to get? Are you just going into the local parts store and having them look it up? I'm at 54K and have been running 295/70/18 for 12K now.

They can search that way... but avoid the oversized bjs as you are stuck to their brand after that....
