So I’ve got a pesky check engine light for the ambient air temp sensor. I replaced the sensor with a new mopar one but it still reads -40 n the dash. I assume something is going on in the wiring. What voltage should I be getting at the connector? And where should I go from there if it is correct. Would love to make this light go away. I’ve searched high and low online and can’t find an answer. Thanks in advance. And yes this is my first post. I joined just for this and because I am a new owner.

Could there possibly be something covering the ambient temp sensor on the bottom of the drivers door mirror ?

The tip of the sensor is exposed as it should be. I’m not totally sure what’s going on with it. Everything looks normal from other pics I’ve seen. I’m just lost in it this one. Figured a new sensor would fix it. So now I’m going to dig in to the wiring. Does anyone know if it could be a fuse. Haven’t started tracing the electrical yet.
