Just traded my 07 mega for a 2017. Truck sits a lot higher than my old one. Anyway to get this truck closer to the ground?

Short answer, No.

Long answer, Yes you could probably find a lowering kit or have shorter custom springs made, maybe a smaller tire? but all of these will compromise the hauling capability and handling of the vehicle. In that case you might as well just buy a smaller truck then throw a bunch money into trying to make this something it is not.

Is the issue getting in the truck or is it just too tall for you to drive comfortably? If it's just getting in some drop steps may be all you need?

Heaviest thing I ever pull is a bass boat and if they would build a mega cab in a 1500 I would have that. Seems weird that if I wanted to lift it there's all kind of stuff but nothing around to drop it.

Timber grove enterprises makes a air ride kit to lower the back 3 inches and the front 1.5 inches. It is not cheap but will get the job done with a top quality setup

Had another thought. Anybody know if 1500 springs will fit on a 2500?

2500 has solid axle in front, 1500 is IFS, so I doubt there is any thing that would swap on the front end.
