Okay so my new nfab prerunner bumper should be shipped Friday. It gives me no problems with rubbing the bumper. I've never really done much with wheels since my current ones are 20x9 with 33's on stock suspension. I'm looking at a set of used fuel 2 piece renegade 22x14 wheels with a set of 35 inch trail grapplers on it. Set at 2.8", with a prerunner bumper, 22x14. will it be a huge pain in the ass to fit?

I'd be shocked if they fit. The bumper isn't gonna help with rubbing at the back portion of the wheelwells.

Those are some wide wheels. Locally this guy has 22x12 and a 4" spindle lift with 33' Aturro MT's and he rubbed right out of the box.

Ran into a RC yesterday on my way home

Dude had some 20x14s with some very stretched tires. It did have a little lift on. We were driving and talking and couldn't catch everything he said, but look pretty good.

But at the same time, it reminded of the mexican trucks of the 90s with the 15x10 rims poking way out.. lol

Not a chance are those going to fit with only Bilsteins at 2.8". As Wandell said, the bumper doesn't help you with fitment on the back of the inner fender. It won't be a matter of just cutting the fender liner. You'd be cutting the fender itself to make that setup work.

You either need to think about more lift (and I mean a 6" lift+ to clear that setup) or a narrow wheel/smaller tire.

You can do 20x12's and 33's and trim plastic and possibly a bit of metal on the pinch weld...

I've got 22x10 with -12 offset on 325/50r22 (basically 35x13). Bilsteins set at 2.8 and I had to trim the plastic liner...even with that, I rub at full lock in reverse.

So jealous. I love AF wheels but I can't justify that kind of coin

Lol back to the topic, I'm just gonna get some 20x12 forces since I'll be on these wheels for 2 years. Anybody have a guy that can get me a deal on them? Lol I'm having a hard time deciding as there's 6 pages of 5 lug wheels [emoji30]

My experience.... go with your gut decision. I liked the Independence SS8's for my truck forever and was set on ordering those. When it came time to actually order I started comparing a few different wheels. Even photoshopped them onto the truck to see how'd they look. I ended up going with the Independence which was definitely the right choice. Super happy with the wheels and overall look of the truck.

Give Andrew at Bully's Performance a shout at [email protected]. Tell him I sent you and he'll get you a quote on the wheels. Mr. Wheel Deal is also another good place to contact as they had a good price on them as well.

Lol I can't photo shop for my life, could you maybe help me with that? And just wondering how much did you pay for yours? If I like a design but it's 8 lug, what can I do...?
