Then it sounds like you are sold on the KO2s, why debate one or the other and go out and get a set? Report back to us with pictures

305/65/18 is e rated
This is a 305/65r18? This size is what I'm looking for but I haven't seen any pics besides this one to give me a good idea what it will look like. I'm looking at a +20 offset so it should be real close if this is the same size. If it is, do you have other photos you could post from different angles?
Do you know the load rating in LBS. a good load range E should at least be over 3250. That is just my opinion though. I wont buy a load rang E unless it is over 3500lbs per tire.
I thought it was 2900 ish for the tera grappler.
Not off the top of my head. I'm going for 295/70/18, rated over 4000 lbs
I have Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx on my Silverado right now. They do come in load range E but I am not sure about the sizes you have mentioned. They have served me well for the last several years. No premature wear, good traction, and surprisingly quiet given the tread pattern... and great online reviews.
Check them out... They are nice tires.

Edit: I have also run **** Cepek Fun Country (Which I think come in the size you are looking for) and liked them a lot. They wore nice, were quiet and held up well. BUT, I do like the Coopers above better.
I love that tire. not in my sizes though.
Just a thought.... But I have never had good luck with odd size tires. You will pay more, and if you have a failure (or multiple failures) your truck may spend some time down waiting for tires to be shipped. IMO, common sizes are the way to go... cheaper and more readily available.
Just my $0.02
that is very understandable and I agree with you. I did talk to the discount tire in my area and they said the 305/65/18 is most often available but it is almost always/only the BFG A/T K02. so i am more comfortable with that size than the 285/70/18 as long as I get the BFG. I am almost positive that i can get a spare in that size to fit under the truck too so that will help a lot. I gave the current spare a good hard look and there seems to be enough room. the discount dealer said he would let me try it.
It is defiantly not as common of a size as other though.
Would you consider 305/70/18? They will be a bit taller than your 305/65/18 but I believe are a much more common size. Just throwin' it out there.
I have these on my truck in the 295-70-18, love how quiet they are. They were a little squirmy for the few thousand miles, but are great now .i went with the, because of the 4080lb load range , I usually haul heavy load so I went with it . I have them on some 18x10 with -24 and stock height, it just barely barely scrapesI have Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx on my Silverado right now.
