5th gen incandescent tail lights in 4th gen

Before I get flamed. I’ve read all the 5th gen to 4th gen tail light discussions. However, all of the discussions I’ve read involve the LED tail lights. Seems to me there would be less hassle using the incandescent tail lights. Not looking for the hassle of the LEDs with codes, but still want the amber turn signals.

Can the brake and turn be separated using alfaOBD? Or do I need to rewire?

This is for a 2017 Ram 1500 Big Horn, 5.7 Hemi

Hopefully I'm not too late on responding. Yes, the rear breaks and turns can be separated with AlfaOBD, but you still need to rewire them.

The stringing of wire sounds like a project for the warmer months. Until then I put in a Opt7 triple light bar to get some amber turn signals
