My plan is exactly the same as yours and I'm glad I'm not going to be the only redline C+ user.

I do have one additional question regarding drilling a hole in the stock pan. Those that Have had the pan off, where would be an ideal spot to drill the hole for plenty of clearance above?
As promised:

The magnet was originally where the drain plug is so I just moved to the next square indent. Hope this helps!

Oh yeah man, that helps a lot. Low point in pan being just below the filter I'm going to change, makes me feel a bit better about drilling. If it gets away from me, I'll only hit the filter and not the valve body[emoji15]

Awesome information and photos bro!!!

This pretty much sums up my trans temps over the winter with the MH pan and Redline C+. It's 22F out today and this is after 15 min of highway driving.

The highest I saw it get this winter was 115F and that's was on a rare 50F day back in February.

Previously using the factory pan and factory fill it was hovering around 110F so in the winter it's dropped the temps around 10-12F.

Thank you very much for the pictures that helps a lot. If I get the MH pan I still plan on tig welding the B&M plug kit to the stock pan so I do not have a nut on the inside of the plan. I would feel much better welding it on versus trusting that nylon washer.

No problem! Yeah if it's welded it should work fine. The nylon washers that the kit comes with are an absolute joke.

Couple other things to note.

-The pan takes almost exactly 7 quarts of fluid

-The transmission housing is RAZOR SHARP

Like R.L.K. said a light skim of RTV is probably a good idea. That's what I did.

Since you're planning to drill a hole in the pan while it's on the trans I would suggest using a step bit to avoid it plunging into the the valve body.

Also the bolts are allen keyed which makes getting that first bolt started a bit tougher.

Let us know how it goes and post lot of pics!

is the MH pan you guys are using 2quarts over stock? just wondering if the 7 quarts you speak of is for stock capacity or not. I have 4 gallons of the Redline and was hoping that would cover my first filter fluid change this year and then just a fluid only change ( only pulling the plug then refilling) a few months after.....just trying to get rid of as much OEM fluid as i can without a "flush".

i will be getting the PML 11078 ( stock capacity) or the 11079 ( 2.5quarts over)

Sorry I should have clarified, 7 quarts is for the MH pan. The stock pan takes approximately 5.5-6 quarts...

For those of you that have the 66RFE like i do I finally found out the capacity for a fluid and filter change. It's not anywhere to be found in the owners manual and my dodge dealer is closed. For the life of me I cannot find a reliable source on Google. I called performance Automotive ( The one in my town seems to be intelligent people) and they said fluid and filter change is 6.6 quarts.

Why is this not in the manual ?

Hey guys, I ran into a major snag, my MH pan does not fit, I can't get it past the Y-pipe. I'm trying to install this on a 2wd and am at a loss. Any suggestions?

I dented the screw on filter as well. Right now I think I'm kinda hosed. I wouldn't even know where to begin, to remove the Y-pipe[emoji19]

Ok that's definitely different than mine. I'm thinking on the 2wd the crossover pipe is closer to the trans. You definitely can't slide it between the trans and the pipe?

I've tried every angle and orientation trying to get it. I kept pulling the seal off, so tried without the seal....still a no go

This is what mine looked like. That's crazy how much less room you have.

Only thing you can do is unbolt the crossover pipe which I believe goes up to the exhaust manifolds....

Are they the 2 clamp assemblies just forward of the cats? Looks like maybe two nuts per. Have you ever done it?

That sounds right. No I've never done it on my Ram but I have in previous vehicles. If you have a lot of road salt where you live you could be in for a fight. If not it shouldn't be bad...
