9006 to 9012 HID’s

Hey everyone, I’m just wondering if a few people can chime in and let me know if a 9006 HID bulb will fit in a 9012 housing? I know you can do it the other way around. I received the wrong bulbs from headlight revolution (heard this happens a lot from them) and was wondering if they would be loose or not. Any help would be great
