I have a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd. Grinding noise at lower speeds (up to 30mph) and then goes away at higher speeds. ABS and Serv 4wd lights come on as well.

My 2011 ram did the same thing today. I used my 4wd to pull out of a steep stome driveway and it worked fine. About 12 miles later I heard a grinding noise. Pulled over and check wheel hubs because it sounded like it was coming from left front. Started back up and I had serv 4wd on dask, ABS light and traction control symbol on in dash. Noise went away on restart but lights stay on and 4wd does not work now.

Could be a failed wheel speed sensor. I had one fail on my truck. Occasionally had the abs light flash and traction control flash. Under low speeds it sounded like a grind noise when it would happen. It was sporadic though not consistent.

I had very similar symptoms on my 2014 Ram 1500 4x4. It was a failed front wheel bearing.
