I have a 2009 Dodge Cummins diesel with a 6.7 liter. It is a 2500 mega cab 4 wheel drive. I am having problems with the alternator not charging. I have a brand new alternator that is working and bench tested. All my grounds and positive wires have been checked and are also working properly. Now I am trying to figure out where the wires that plug into the back of the alternator are going. I now they are connected to the ecm and are red and black in color. The black wire has the same Voltage as the batteries. The red wire has no ground or power. Does anyone have a diagram of where the wires actually go so I can trace them back to the ecm and what pins on the ecm do they connect to. I also would like to know how to field test the alternator on the truck. Thank You
