I've been going back and forth on what tires to get. I think I'm more confused then when I started. I am considering going 275/65/20, as I think it fills the wheel gap better. I plan on going with the 2.1 level, when they are back in stock. But currently sitting stock and will be for a bit.

I am looking for suggestions with MPG and longevity being important. Obviously any AT tire/going bigger I'm going to take a hit on MPG. However to be honest with myself 99.9% of my driving is my daily 45 mile highway/back road commute. I do see slight snow (Maryland) but that is about it.

With this is mind I would like a more aggressive look but don't require anything heavy duty or rated for extreme towing. What would everyone recommend?

The 275/65 will cost quite a bit more because it's a special order size. I would imagine that it will get worse mpg because it's 1 inch bigger.. That being said, I just got some 285/65r20s and can't wait to try them out. Maybe I'll give a little more insight once I've tested the mpg on them

Yea I've noticed the price difference. I'm not 100% sold on going larger, especially since its for appearance only.

I run 275-65-20 General Grabber AT2's and love them. Looks much better and the additional traction is huge. They do rub a small amount when turned all the way each direction if you are on uneven ground. Not enough for me to do anything about. MPG hasnt changed much, maybe went down 1 MPG.

Did this. And I've ruled out 65 ratio for a couple of reasons, mostly because it's a full inch taller plus while any AT tire will be heavier than those Crapyears, a 65 ratio will be even more so. As an example, the Toyo ATII in a 275/60/20 P Metric is 44 lbs, whereas the same tire in a 65 becomes a 10 ply E rated tire and weighs 57lbs.

I haven't really looked at the weights much. I guess I should start looking into that as well. I have no need or use for the E rating so that's something I'd like to avoid.

your going to be hard pressed to find a 33" or bigger size tire thats not e-rated, aside from the stock 275/60/20. you basically either have to stay stock or accept the fact that your going to loose some mpg.

Bingo, traction is way more important to me than 1-2 MPG

Thanks for the heads up, I wasn't aware of that. I thought I read somewhere that the new KO2 in 65 weren't E.

Just grabbed a set of Cooper Discoverer At3's in 275/65/20 - couldn't be happier. Lost about 1mpg, but they are smooth on the highway and have great grip elsewhere.

unless it was just released i dont think so. i know they came out with the k02 in the factory 275/60/20 recently. i cant see them making a 275/65/20 in anything but an e-rated tire since its an OEM ford superduty size, which would require an e-rated tire.

I am running toyo at2 LT275/65/20 (previous tire was 275/60/20) and I love the difference. The look is completely different. The extra inch fills out the wheel well better and there is no rubbing. I haven't noticed a huge difference in MPG.

Pics? On stock suspension? 2WD or 4WD?

I went back and forth for a long time and finally settled on stock with a 2.5 level. I wasn't sure about it until I saw a ram today with the level and 275/65s and I just didn't like the look. Glad I settled on stock tire size.
