5 years and over 70k miles of hauling my big butt around have taken a toll on my seat cushion. I’m finding foam under the seat now so I know it’s time. I don’t want to go OE again since it will probably fail again in a few years. I’ve seen Geno’s and The Seat Shop with “upgraded” cushions. Has anyone used either one and how tough are they to change?

I have used the Geno's Garage one; durability is good. Installation is not difficult, but it is a bit tedious due to the hog rings (but is irrelevant of the manufacturer).

signed in today wondering the same thing. I ordered a Genos Garage cushion the other day, its on backorder. should have it in a couple of weeks and will get it installed. should be an easy swap, just have to deal with the hog rings.

got my new Genos Cushion last night, took about an hour to install, left the seat bolted to the truck. of course as with anything nothing goes 100% according to plan....now my memory seat buttons dont do anything, i can reset the memory and the screen will tell me i cant use it if not in park. but the seat wont move by pushing option 1 or 2.....only two wires going to the switch so i must have disconnected something else by accident.

Got mine done. Went with the seat shop durafoam. I figure being 290lbs I need a durable seat cushion! I think the old one has had enough.

I replaced my 10 year old drivers seat bottom with one from The Seat Shop. Not too hard to replace, removed the seat from the truck to do it. Only special tool needed is hog ring pliers. There is a video by the seat shop that shows what to do. I've had the new seat foam since last Christmas, it's holding up fine to my 160 lbs...

I haven't replaced the foam but did replace the seat cover which was torn on one corner and the leather was cracking along the outside edge of the drivers seat. I bought the cover, hog rings and pliers from the Seat Shop, install was easy and took me about an hour. Highly recommend!
