.....enough to see what is underneath the seat. I swear it lifted up all the way (90 deg) at one time, but not sure.
So question is, how far up should our back seat pivot up? Mine goes about 10 deg and then stops with a thud or clunk.

sounds like you have the bench rear seat, but I would imagine its the same (i have the split). Anyway both of mine go all the way up to 90 degrees

it should lift up all the way. Something is stopping it.

I'll check it out after work, and when it's still light out. The time I had tried lifting it were when I was in a hurry and didn't put the time into why it is stopped. Thanks.

I just went out and tried it again. It comes up about 30 deg and then there is a clunk stopping it. So there must be a release lever, but I don't see anything. Maybe I read something when I got the truck and after 3 years of not lifting it, I forgot there is a trick?
Is there a release lever or something to that effect?

Unclip what strap?

it's a strong metal sound that is stopping it, so there must be a release somewhere.

I've got the full bench, all one piece..................

I had that happen. It was the seat belt buckle had slipped down into the mechanism keeping the seat from going up all the way.
